I well remember being at the Away turnstiles, watching Ray Trew stalk past with a face like thunder. He was obviously narked that he'd had trouble parking his Bentley in a side street and totally ignored the Notts fans on his way past. If our current owners (or manager) found themselves with us in some depressing side street, I somehow feel they wouldn't act like that.
Sadly, I can remember too many away days from that era where the home side has been elevated whilst we dropped through the trapdoor. I think the pendulum has already started swinging back the other way. Here's hoping it keeps going.
