Very special watching the scenes at the end of the game, especially the oldish guy with tears rolling down his face. He was a Brentford fan, by the way, though Arsenal fans have plenty to cry about on that showing.

We're supposed to be following the Brentford model of talent discovery, so hopefully it will be us one day!

Amazing to think that just 12 years ago, we drew 1-1 with Brentford at crappy Griffin Park in League 2 (though the pubs on each corner were great). What a success story they are - and good luck to them.

I well remember being at the Away turnstiles, watching Ray Trew stalk past with a face like thunder. He was obviously narked that he'd had trouble parking his Bentley in a side street and totally ignored the Notts fans on his way past. If our current owners (or manager) found themselves with us in some depressing side street, I somehow feel they wouldn't act like that.

Sadly, I can remember too many away days from that era where the home side has been elevated whilst we dropped through the trapdoor. I think the pendulum has already started swinging back the other way. Here's hoping it keeps going.

Was last there for a 0-0 in 2012, watching FA Cup semi in a couple of those pubs.
Very sad to think Griffin Park and its pubs have gone. I wonder if they're still there...doubt it

Is it a coincidence that we play exactly the same formation as Brentford?
