Performance aside, because I’m not sure what to make of it. Although, very good point re not stopping the cross. We’ve had this issue since Ardley first took charge.

Anyway, referee. How can you send Rawlinson off, but not book the guy when he brought Roberts down(1st one). You could see the ref flapping to Burchnall as they walked off at halftime, he didn’t have a clue.

Well. That was bad. Chicksen hasn't had a touch because quite rightly Solihull have been attacking our shambles of a right hand side. I said last weak the problems are glaringly obvious. We are so easy to attack.

This isn't bed wetting, it's genuine concern. We can't afford to start badly again and moving into our 3rd season in this awful league, it seems we still don't understand what is needed.

Why didn’t you say so before? You are right though (barring Brindley I think), far far too easy to get at, like we were last season. It doesn’t look like we’ve cured any of our problems so far and to make it worse our old manager has worked out how to attack effectively!

The only bright side is that we’ll be able to wind Davyfacts up about being beaten by a better manager than what we’ve got 😂

Wonder how long IB will persevere with this three at the back...has he has even tried other formations since he came to Notts?

Roberts has been bullied as well, crunching tackles. I'll give him 3 weeks before he's out injured.

Should have put some money on Mansfield going up. Clough has sorted them out.

One shot from open play on goal in the dying embers of the first half, seems to sum that half up. Toothless in attack, absent in midfield and pedestrian in defence. That wasn't ''men against boys'', that was ''men against traffic cones''. We need to do a Hell a lot better than that, not only in this match but for the rest of the season.

Hopefully the best 10 on the pitch second half, rather than worrying about formations and minutes, and go for it to take some momentum/confidence into the first league match - or is it 'just' a friendly and no need to panic?
