Good point Brin.....but we had a lot more funding last season in the Championship...........but still a good point pal.

I bought a prog. at the Accy match and was surprised how many non-playing staff are on the books and all need paying, ok all teams have them, but still alot.

Last accounts showed a loss of £1.2m before tax and those accounts were boosted by the sale of Vaulks & Ajayi.
In March 2020 asd lighting holdings limited took out a £2m share issue in RUFC to help cover reduction in match day revenue and reduced funding from the efl, without that £2m share issue RUFC accounts would show a considerable loss.
Legal costs increased due to covid safe working practices.
RUFC utilised the government coronavirus job retention scheme for £405k and staff and players were furloughed from March when the season ended early. They also took a bridging loan for £128k from the efl.
The cash flow forecast for the next 3 years from 2020 shows RUFC will have to rely on its subsidiary company asd lighting plc to enable it to trade as a going concern.
Its already been mentioned, the Crooks money may be being paid in installments or being used to pay debt off.

Out of interest Brin, where do you think all the cash has gone ?

If we had to sell one player to fund a striker I would choose Ben Wiles, providing we got a sensible offer. Every young player wants to improve and play for a more high profile club. We won't be spending £1m on one player anytime soon, dream on !!
