Reality is we’ve been pish performance wise so far this season but managed to grind out a few decent results to mask the deficiencies. Take the full backs out of the equation and we’d be raging about how bad we are.
Im raging at how bad we are and that's with the full backs in the equation. I keep hearing Connor Mac changed the game 2nd half....sorry, I didn't see that at all. The opposition seemed to visibly wilt in the 2nd half (possibly from tiredness as they hadn't played many games?) but we didn't get anywhere near an equalizer despite much more possession. Not even close. We haven't had a game all season where the midfield has totally bossed it, I thought that's what we bought Brown for? We've been powderpuff/lightweight and generally lacking in cojones for years and continue to be so. A right few need shipped out and Connor Mac will do for starters, and get Woods in goal on Sunday.

I don't rate joe anymore he's past it and is a liability! Don't rate jet one bit. Ramirez I like but has been very poor last 2-3 games, Ferguson wants away big time our defence is as weak as piss... Conmack has really taken us all for fools, but that's what Tories do isn't it. I hope someone can buy the shady looking
c u n t out! If we go out next Thursday and being out the premier cup I'll give the season a wide berth maybe until jan.

I know we didn't play well (who would on the bombsite of a pitch?) but what a chance we now have to make the Group stages. I would have been worried if away goals were still a thing but now any sort of win and the worst we have is extra time. Let's see how good they are once they have traveled 3,500 miles and three time zones (and will be effectively playing at midnight their time) in front of what I can only assume will be a full capacity Pittodrie really up for it.

I have no doubt we will get a chasing by hertz on Sunday but I have a good feeling about it being one of those special European nights next week a la Copenhagen.

Anyone who could buy him out really, Everyone knew we needed reinforcements in defence and up top 3 weeks ago.. If we don't make the group stages the blame is fully at his door step!

I'm slightly optimistic about nxt thu but I can see us going out 1-1 or 2-1 them. We have no creativity now hedges is out and we are now weake in an already shaky defence. Sickened.

Seen glasses post match interview and he definitely having we pop at cormack.

I actually hope we rest a few players for sun. At least 5 I'd say. Though this team have made the group stages in the last 7 years. They are favourites.

The rationale for the game is bizarre. Even those in the remedial geography class realise Azerbaijan is not in Europe so why have clubs fly 3500 miles to play there in a European competition. UEFA have a detailed document under Infantino’s signature on ‘quality stadiums’. How the **** can they allow a final round qualifier to be played on something with so little topsoil a swing of the boot risks a broken leg?

That said, Quarabag have to make the same journey in reverse next week and we face essentially the same task we had against Almaty, another Asian team, in 2016 (albeit without the away goals rule) where everyone seemed to be very confident (and yes, I remember, it did not end well).

There were poor performances tonight. Lewis’s good made up for the bad which looked awful at first sight but coming through Hayes’s legs means he probably saw it too late and, on another pitch without bobbles, his outstretched arm would have connected with the ball. Ramirez has had some flak on the forum. He’s a striker. Get the ball into him in the box and he scores. That never happened. Hardly his fault and, when he retrieved the ball on the flanks and played it in, the problem was we have no other penalty box player like him and that screams for a signing. Ojo? Either he was ****e or the coaching team was. He was so far up the park and rarely got the ball. In the press he was easily bypassed. JET? I don’t know, He comes deep looking for the ball and does nothing with it. He’s a big bugger, should he not be in the opposition penalty box? Poor positioning or poor coaching?
Looking forward to something better at Pittodrie.
