Yes remember these well. I always waited to return my cherryade Corona bottles - remember conductors on the buses and usherettes with torches at the pictures especially and ice creams at the interval.

Mick might remember coal being delivered and black and white televisions though😭😭😭

Remember getting the money back on bottles very well. We used to have an off licence that paid you for returning bottles. Once he paid you out, he put the bottles in the backyard. We used to jump over the wall and take back the bottles and then take them in again through the front door to get the deposit!

I also remember the s h I t house being in the back garden at my nan’s house, a nightmare if you needed a dump in the middle of the night in winter.

yes I can remember black and white tv with that white dot when switched off plus the national anthem when the BBC channel closed down around 11pm followed by the ghostly announcer stating dont forget to unplug your TV. Colour TV was about but we were a bit too poor to buy one. Also remember when the remote control became a thing but it was attached to the tv by a long piece of cable which as kids we would usually trip over

I also remember filling the bath up with about 20 hot kettles and going down the garden to the toilet with hemp wrapped around the pipes with loads of spiders.
Kids would have a fit these days if they had to put Welles on and an overcoat to use the loo.

Yeah, and no toilet rolls in those days, just bits of newspaper cut up in squares and nailed to the wall.
