I'm not mithering about him, nor Cornet, I'm mithering about nothing done up front where we pay good money to three non-scoring strikers, 7 PL goals between them last season, and feck all done to improve the situation, I'm mithering about our midfield, 3 players to cover two positions, Cork and Westwood both over 30 years old, Cork just coming back from a long absence due to a serious injury, and 38 PL games plus Cup matches to play, no respite for them, we haven't even invested in state of the art Zimmer frames to help them get around the pitch. Best of luck with that.

Bottom line BT is that we have been conned, new owners were supposed to 'invest' in the team, invest more money than Garlick could, but they haven't, Garlick spent over £40 million on the team in the 2018/19 season windows, this bunch of charlatans have had two windows and spent about £17 million. And the fans are happy ? Spending less than Garlick and they're happy ? Go on then, if you say so. And Garlick also managed to stash £50 million in the Dry Powder store, that's empty now.

But everyone except me is happy ? I was the only one not out singing and dancing in Burnley town centre last night, celebrating the closure of a highly successful transfer window for BFC ?

    Feck off.

We have Wood, Barnes, Rodriguez and Vydra with three really exceptional kids ready to break through all available up front.

In your catatonic dotage you forgot to mention Dale Stephens in our midfield options (how very dare you?)

Pace came in and told SD in January funds were available and our manager is on record as saying he was not buying for the sake of it.

Five players is enough to integrate into a 25 man squad in one go and another window opens in January, so let's see where we are in the league table then.

So stop thee mithering, have a milky Horlicks and chill.

Indeed I did BT, I had this vague idea that we had another one but I just couldn't think who it might be. I had totally forgotten that Dale existed, my bad. I'll sleep a lot easier tonight knowing that Dale will be on hand to assist in our fight against relegation, he could make all the difference.

No your not the only one Sinkov , I’m with you we def needed central mid player/s as I
Posted we’re a injury - suspension away from disaster Brownhill or westy out and the cupboard is bare . Cork will be ok for 10/15 mins in games at most Stephen’s is old and crocked ( we should have kept Benson and given him a go ).

I’ve watched cornet and if he goes like he can do I’m not sure we’ve a forward who’ll get up there quick enough to benefit, after watching Barnes against Leeds If I was Vydra I’d have knocked on Dyche door Monday and said play me or I’m off - whilst Ashley’s been a decent servant to us he’s gone down hill fast , he’s slow. Cumbersome, late with challenges , diving more and simply can’t compete.

Our manager still persisted with him when we have a mobile , intelligent forward on the bench who can head it as well as Barnes ever could ( if that’s the sticking point ) who offers something different, craft and vision and a goal or two ,

Hey we know he may not be prolific but for me in our team players as they are he should start games.

If Mcneil is the answer centrally as many are suggesting with the arrival of Cornet then brilliant if it works , it’s much more physical in there and who will he create for and if he gets a knock then what ?

Ifs and buts I know !

army ---you are criticising Barnes and saying that Vydra should have been knocking on the door etc., however, Barnes was fully fit whilst Vydra had been absent at Liverpool through injury and also missed the Newcastle Carabao Cup game, in which Barnes came on as a sub.
The manager is with the players at training and knows better than any of us who is carrying knocks and also trusts players to be honest about their own fitness. Perhaps he thought that Barnes was fully fit and would give it his all whereas Vydra was still a little concerned about his injury ---who knows? Certainly not us.

I like Vydra, but the heart of a lion he does not have. Barnes does and that's why Dyche picks him.

if we had owners prepared to invest in the team, we wouldn't be having this discussion, we'd have better playing than either of them. But we don't have such owners, so we continue to dance around the head of a pin, arguing who is more useless, Ashley or Matej. Does it matter which of them plays ? I really don't think so.

I would suggest that we are more likely to score with Matej alongside Chris, but our chances of getting a red card is better with Ashley alongside Chris.
I know which is my preference.

I cannot understand why we did not strengthen mid-field though unless the tactics will be to bypass mid-field altogether.

He’s old slow and not good enough for this level of football , he gave away more fouls and dives more and more every game.

Thing is I knew when it was time to give up as I caught people late and couldn’t catch them at all in some cases , and in truth I wouldn’t have wanted it done to me so I accepted it and retired .
Heart or no heart BT he ain’t good enough he’s a poor Chris Wood I’m afraid .
