if we had owners prepared to invest in the team, we wouldn't be having this discussion, we'd have better playing than either of them. But we don't have such owners, so we continue to dance around the head of a pin, arguing who is more useless, Ashley or Matej. Does it matter which of them plays ? I really don't think so.

I would suggest that we are more likely to score with Matej alongside Chris, but our chances of getting a red card is better with Ashley alongside Chris.
I know which is my preference.

I cannot understand why we did not strengthen mid-field though unless the tactics will be to bypass mid-field altogether.

We are awaiting the return of our midfield maestro from injury.

Once Stephens gets fit, we will be a totally different team.

Indeed I did BT, I had this vague idea that we had another one but I just couldn't think who it might be. I had totally forgotten that Dale existed, my bad. I'll sleep a lot easier tonight knowing that Dale will be on hand to assist in our fight against relegation, he could make all the difference.

He’s old slow and not good enough for this level of football , he gave away more fouls and dives more and more every game.

Thing is I knew when it was time to give up as I caught people late and couldn’t catch them at all in some cases , and in truth I wouldn’t have wanted it done to me so I accepted it and retired .
Heart or no heart BT he ain’t good enough he’s a poor Chris Wood I’m afraid .

I get it sub but a three quarter fit Vydra is better than someone who is more at home wrestling and throwing himself on the floor than actually contributing to the game.

And in response to that if Vydra isn’t fit and we’re worried why is he in the squad at all , get a Rodriguez in and a youngster to replace him with 10 mins to go.

Barnes as I said has been a good servant to us but I feel his time is over , he’s another who’d be ok for the final 10 mins of a game.

The sooner we get Roberts and Cornet fully integrated into the first team the better. Wood and Vydra have to be our starters up front if we stay with 4-4-2 or will we see more of 4-4-1-1 this season?

It's now September and history shows it takes "in-bounds" at least six weeks for any new arrival about six weeks to get "Dyche fit".

We may see Cornet and Roberts in action for the Development Squad in mid-October.

I do not understand trying to get players "Dyche Fit" almost all of our opposing teams have fitness levels equal to or better than ourselves. perhaps this is an age problem as our team is on average is older than the opposition.

Possibly being "Dyche Fit" means having to leave any kind of flair out of their game and concentrate on getting back into our own box to defend.

When if ever will we learn that if we have the ball, especially in the oppositions half of the field then it is impossible for them to score a goal. However to achieve having that ability some decent mid-field player area needed and we only seem to be interested in defenders or possibly defenders who may be able to play as a winger.

I don't think fitness is a problem for incoming players, it is more of a culture shock of defending being the first and main priority.
