He can reach the back post from a throw in which for us could be better than a corner....

Now that I like, worth £2.5 million of anyone's money for a long throw specialist. I've seen enough mayhem caused by long throws into our box, time we could dish it out a bit ourselves.

OMG sinkov, it's bad enough us being labelled a "long ball" team. Can you imagine the shock and awe if we start chucking long throw-ins as well?

Best of luck with that.

Bottom line BT is that we have been conned, new owners were supposed to 'invest' in the team, invest more money than Garlick could, but they haven't, Garlick spent over £40 million on the team in the 2018/19 season windows, this bunch of charlatans have had two windows and spent about £17 million. And the fans are happy ? Spending less than Garlick and they're happy ? Go on then, if you say so. And Garlick also managed to stash £50 million in the Dry Powder store, that's empty now.

But everyone except me is happy ? I was the only one not out singing and dancing in Burnley town centre last night, celebrating the closure of a highly successful transfer window for BFC ?

    Feck off.
No your not the only one Sinkov , I’m with you we def needed central mid player/s as I
Posted we’re a injury - suspension away from disaster Brownhill or westy out and the cupboard is bare . Cork will be ok for 10/15 mins in games at most Stephen’s is old and crocked ( we should have kept Benson and given him a go ).

I’ve watched cornet and if he goes like he can do I’m not sure we’ve a forward who’ll get up there quick enough to benefit, after watching Barnes against Leeds If I was Vydra I’d have knocked on Dyche door Monday and said play me or I’m off - whilst Ashley’s been a decent servant to us he’s gone down hill fast , he’s slow. Cumbersome, late with challenges , diving more and simply can’t compete.

Our manager still persisted with him when we have a mobile , intelligent forward on the bench who can head it as well as Barnes ever could ( if that’s the sticking point ) who offers something different, craft and vision and a goal or two ,

Hey we know he may not be prolific but for me in our team players as they are he should start games.

If Mcneil is the answer centrally as many are suggesting with the arrival of Cornet then brilliant if it works , it’s much more physical in there and who will he create for and if he gets a knock then what ?

Ifs and buts I know !

What does it matter BT, as you say, we're labelled a long ball team anyway, so let's do what it says on the tin. Can you imagine the sulks from Klopp or Pep if Woods or Tarko gets on the end of one and scores against them. Bring it on, work on them all week in training and bomb the feckers every opportunity. It worked for Stoke.

In between our posts I was thinking about Wood, Barnes, Mee and Tarkowski battling to win headers from a long throw in, will be the stuff of nightmares for Klopp and Co!

army ---you are criticising Barnes and saying that Vydra should have been knocking on the door etc., however, Barnes was fully fit whilst Vydra had been absent at Liverpool through injury and also missed the Newcastle Carabao Cup game, in which Barnes came on as a sub.
The manager is with the players at training and knows better than any of us who is carrying knocks and also trusts players to be honest about their own fitness. Perhaps he thought that Barnes was fully fit and would give it his all whereas Vydra was still a little concerned about his injury ---who knows? Certainly not us.

I like Vydra, but the heart of a lion he does not have. Barnes does and that's why Dyche picks him.
