NHS is generally sh!te now its non existent because of COVID. I disagree with you OA the disease is around for life now. It will morph and it kills. It also debilitates. BUT we closed down everything including the p!ss poor nhs (yet happy clappers with pots and pans thought otherwise - not the grass roots issue but the management (how come 30 %of NHS are so called off hand managers???). Anyway, the disease kills causes health issues that change lives. Anyone that says it doesnt is ignorant. Its massive unlike any other in hisotry. Heart disease and cancer are not spread through contact. BUT we have focused on this too much too the detriment of humans - suicide, heart disease (denistry is massive play here) and cancer.

The issue is the stop of all things for covid not the fact we need to treat this issue.

To be fair to the media, its not all about Covid that we are hearing about with regular mention of how bad NHS waiting lists are just now. But i have to ask exactly what the detractors are expecting as this 18 month battle the NHS has been through has taken its toll on the staff. These staff are sometimes hitting burn out, deciding to leave their profession, and having to self isolate because of contacts. You cant magic new workers from the streets, or entice them back from the Middle East, Australia or the US, and that has the sad consequence that we will be feeling the effects of this pandemic for a while yet!

Cant say my life is back to normal yet, but there are aspects of that which do seem to be heading that way. Main thing is, i should be back in Tannadice for the Derby!
interesting times ahead for the NHS chick thats for sure, as usual though the focus is on covid and now these new passports to get the young team jabbed.

I cant see how we can recover from 18 months of people missing diagnosis and treatments, its f ucking awful.

cant argue with any of that mate, especially whats in bold and underlined, thats exactly what im talking about

as for it being here for life, aye it probably is, and will need vaccinations same as we have for other viruses and should be controlled in the same manner going forward like yellow fever but I dont think it will, i dont think we've seen the last of lockdowns and these 'circuit breakers' but if everyone is getting vaccinated then this shouldnt happen and we should be getting back to normal

Yeah I wasn't getting at you tbh, but you say he makes a good point, I'm just saying he doesn't and its a ****e post.

On a side note, and regarding the vaccine passport thing. You mentioned earlier that only vaccination in Scotland will count, will that rule me out for the derby as I had both my shots in England? Genuine question as I'm hoping to get back up for the game.

It would be daft if I'm not allowed to use my English one tbh, not even sure who to check with though. But if you can travel abroad using Scottish vaccination proof then surely to **** it shouldn't prevent me from attending. There will be septic and sevco fans travelling from all corners of the UK to attend their games I'm sure

This seems like a good idea but it's a logistical ball-ache. Who is going to check you have a vaccine passport and when? When will they be trained and by whom? For me the whole idea is bull, shouldn't be happening.

I was on Radio Scotland yesterday via a text i sent in at 06.30 to the Health Secretary who came onto the programme later.I told them that i never had a smartphone and had no intention of getting one so am i still getting into the match?.
The answer is yes as paper copies will be made available to those lacking in technology,as for ADS and England of course his passport will be accepted in Scotland but if there was a problem we would get it all sorted in The Bedsit,FACT.

Numbers of cases in Scotland are apparently as of today the highest since Oct 2020 is today’s headline. When are we going to move away from case numbers and instead concentrate on hospitalisations and deaths as the most important parameter? We’re going to be in lockdown 3 come December at this rate - the ‘seeds’ are already being sown with recent comments along the lines of no current intentions to introduce circuit breakers or restrictions. In other words, it’s a-coming…………….
