What I’ve gathered is….

We started slow, poor tempo and dithered about with it at the back. Aldershot, who started slow, realised that weren’t at the races so started to press us higher up the pitch. We get a goal but then give away another one by not stopping another cross.

IB changes it at half time yet again but before the changes take effect Aldershot take the lead. We start to click and get two goals to take the lead….which we could’ve built on. The 4-3-3 formation allowed us to play at a higher tempo and the players looked more comfortable in that setup.

Is that close?
Pretty much.

Absolutely superb to have a manager who spots a problem on 40 minutes and takes off a defender for an attacking player at half time. It was ballsy, entertaining and best of all it worked.

Well done IB.

Defensively we were messy at times but we have shown that if we need to play a more compact game we can (away at Wrexham) but IB has no intention of doing that at home against sides that are there for the taking.
