I suppose I'm used to the watching the NBA, where the Governing body steps in and makes sure the product is entertaining - like the 24 second shot clock. If you don't have an attempt in that time, the ball goes to the opponent.

I'm not advocating that, but one day the complacency of football will catch up with it and unless it does things to make the game more entertaining it'll lose its massive fan base
I'll give Ian Burchnall his due in that I think he genuinely wants purposeful, forward-looking, attacking, entertaining football rather lots of slow backwards and sideways passing, but I suspect he will have to keep on the case of certain players who (perhaps subconsciously) can all too easily fall into that low-risk, tippy-tappy style if they're allowed to do so.

Judging by his demeanor on the touchline in the first-half, I suspect there was more of a half-time b*llocking went on in the dressing room yesterday than the manager was willing to reveal publicly.
