Doncaster v Millers - Tinpot Cup

    Kickoff tomorrow, 7pm.

    A few questions.

Are Gratton and Hull coming back to play in it as mentioned in their loan agreements? Anyone in the know?

If JJ played yesterday then presumably he won't be playing. Freddie to start? Or Grigg to get some game time? Or both perhaps?

Does this count as the first of Miller's 3 games out? It is a domestic game after all.

Who would you go with in this incredibly exciting competition? I vote for anyone that won't be starting at the weekend. Minus Grigg as he may need some minutes under his belt.

We may even get to see Bola, Odoffin and Edmunds-Green. Have seen little (or zero in Bola's case), of these guys up to this point.

Lastly, you can buy a match pass for a tenner if you aren't going. They are allowing broadcast of this cup but they decided not to broadcast non Sky Carabao Cup matches on ifollow, bizarre.

Millerstale to help answer your questions......

Are Gratton and Hull coming back to play in it as mentioned in their loan agreements? Anyone in the know?
Warne has already said he's recalling all loanees except the lad at Matlock as he's not had enough game time to warrant a start at Donny

If JJ played yesterday then presumably he won't be playing. Freddie to start? Or Grigg to get some game time? Or both perhaps?
Grigg is to start so Warne can get a good look at him, should imagine Freddie will start to, wouldn't want to risk Smith getting hurt in this competition

Does this count as the first of Miller's 3 games out? It is a domestic game after all.
No it does not count as it is a cup competition and all his three game bans only relate to league games, that's why he will probably play in order to keep his fitness levels up.

Who would you go with in this incredibly exciting competition? I vote for anyone that won't be starting at the weekend. Minus Grigg as he may need some minutes under his belt.
Like Karl said, this incredibly exciting competition was very exciting for us Millers back in 96!

We may even get to see Bola, Odoffin and Edmunds-Green. Have seen little (or zero in Bola's case), of these guys up to this point.
Bola will also start so Warne gets to see what's he signed up, good luck to the lad and trust he has a good game and gives warne something to think about starting him in the League games.

Lastly, you can buy a match pass for a tenner if you aren't going. They are allowing broadcast of this cup but they decided not to broadcast non Sky Carabao Cup matches on ifollow, bizarre.
    No Idea on that one

In my opinion Karl, it became tinpot when they let Premier League youth teams enter. It just feels patronising to me. Since then I've no more interest than the man in the moon.

    '96 was good though 👍🙂

    Grigg ?

Donny may be a bit agrieved that he didn't join them.
Could be a victim of some "tasty" challenges ?

    Wouldn't risk him myself

Neither would I. Don’t they have to have a certain amount of first teamers in though?

Anyway, although I agree it was good when we won this competition, I couldn’t give the proverbial monkeys about it. . It’s past it’s sell by date in my opinion. Bigger fish ( or chips) to fry.
As far Grigg I certainly would not play him, or Smith.,

Griggy could play against Doncaster,” said Warne

He might play or part of the match but not confirmed
I don't think many Managers will give their line up away on the day before a game

Times have changed since 96 back than we was a fourth/ third division team with no chance at promotion.

Now we are a top league 1/ relegation favourites championship team.

I agree this competition Is tin pot . Even division 1/2 teams don't play there full strength teams

Saids it all doesn't it ?
