Ok but most people don't question the nationality of Ben Stokes which is similar in that they came to England in their early years and learnt their sport here

Used to be big thing in boxing after many black heavyweight world champions
But now the world of tennis has got a new favourite, currently doing well but being media hyped in the usual manner
Emma Raducanu
Born in Toronto, Canada, to Ian and Renee, who originated from Bucharest, Romania and Shenyang, China respectively.
Yep definitely British

Add in Johanna Konta to the mix. Born in Australia to Hungarian parents. Didn't move here till she was 14. Has citizenship now and I support her as much as I would someone born here.
Raducanu moved here when she was 2. She is British. Her entire living memory is here.
If you are only interested in pure bred winners Grist you might have to stick to watching Crufts or Royal Ascot because there are not many left in the human race. Good luck to Emma Raducanu who lived in England from the age of 2, was schooled in England (albeit in mostly private education) and has good academic achievements on top of her recently found 'fame' in tennis.
And for the record she is a delight of a young woman from what I've seen in her short career. A great hope for the present and future with her on court ability but comes across brilliantly. Shame she is playing so early tomorrow morning, will have to see if I can catch a replay. Good luck Emma!
Hard to say. She started nervously yesterday although that was in part due to her opponent being a step up in hitting power which took her a few games to adjust to. Obviously it all got too much at Wimbledon but she has that experience now to better control her emotions.
You’re arguing ( debating) with the wrong man on that one
Basically from the same dinghy of desperation.
I don’t mind the playing for national teams, nor their successes, but British they aren’t
The tennis lass is already British number 1, such is the low level of the rest
