Are we at the stage where the club management would be happy with a 5000 attendance paying £50 or a 10,000 attendance paying £25?

I know that's not taking seasons into account etc etc but the point I'm trying to make (badly) is that in pure economic terms it has the same financial outcome, and I just used 50 to make the point. It's important we don't price fans out because attending matches is a habit that can be replaced unless you're absolutely diehard.

And once your PATG attending habit has changed a bit it's possible you'll just give other cheaper games a miss. We want as many United fans at every game as we can get.

Im amazed it's selling out when live on Sky, maybe they have got this one right if it's selling, but that doesn't mean it'll be successful every time.
First derby since Covid was always gonna be a good one. League positions might affect the next few? It is on Sky, but who wants to go out before midday on a Sunday to a pub, or just watch from home?

    Spot on Stoke.

We want those that want to come and support their local club at Tannadice to be able to do so.

Pricing is a big factor in an area like Dundee.

Paid £15 to watch Idles at Fatties tonight for a 45 minute show so the same price as a Category A game but it was all out attack the whole timeand Mark Bowen had a tangerine Miami Vice style suit on.....only he could pull that off

Pretty much, my main point is our owners are looking to get the most money possible which does actually makes sense for a business but don't kid yourself by thinking they care who attends as long as they get what they want at the gates.

This sort of money is not about the fans, it's not about making sure loyal supporters can attend games and if you gave them a choice of losing some fans but making a wee bit extra cash at 30 or helping all fans attend but making slightly less they choose 30. We may still sell out, but there are fans who have been with us for years probably gutted not being able go, or not being able to justify paying the price to take a younger child.

We can't claim to be a club for the community, we are a fully-fledged business putting money first and having “Dundees United” scrawled on our wall is an insult to every fan who now feels they have been left behind.

I have different issues with going but I really do feel gutted for those who can't, or those who feel they can't justify taking their younger kids as well.

They better hell hope they win, as a bad result will really damage the morale of those attending whilst being really disgruntled by it.

Who are these fans you talk of because it looks as if everyone who would want to go IS going?

It doesn't matter what the price is that'd be the case...
