To be fair to the clubs the problem isn’t the cost of tickets, it’s the lack of disposable income for the supporters. If you did a decade by decade check you’ll find these prices are typical given inflation over the years.

You can’t put a price on memories, and if your not hoping and fearful you don’t know the difference or cost of failure or joy of winning
