Obviously it''s their own premises and they can choose who they let in but it just doesn't seem right to me that a club can unilaterally censor the media in this way.
It is Terry. Yup he is a tool but there is free speech. Its not a good look individual clubs banning journalists (although i wont mock Dundee on this issue as im clouded by the fact i hate the tool ) - it gives fuel to that voice. The main issue is the company(ies) that pay the tools - there must be a reason and up here its because they are hvns or tims. Sad really - maybe the 5 clubs looking at scottish fitba can agree a way to not censor them but maybe show them a less attractive way to watch our teams (like the Dr noodles stand in December lol). Or maybe we, the public, can get these guys sacked cause they are sh!t and full or bigoted nonsense. Up here we have say 15 of these pundits in a group of about 20. Down south there is Ferdinand with his agendas too and maybe more.

fvck the old firm and their c0ck suckers. It irks me the licence fee probably pays some of boyds wages now. Whilst dundee fc are probably wrong in actions - they are 100% in being aggrieved. Problem is i support them here in many ways but other way round not one dee would support us. And Aberdeen would eventually vote against anything.

Boyd stuck the finger up the utd fans - was he sacked, arrested, questioned, challenged apart from utd fans? no - so in reality no one cares OF wins and always will. There will always be orange marches, there will always be religion, there will always be the murdochs of this world and always be ars3holes.

As for Fat Charlie - he is only doing his job in many ways - clearly his contract (for which DFC pay 0%) allows this. Fair enough he is a dundonian and a fake dundee fan (RFC, old hvn stand tin flute man like them all) but arent they all.

Dundee have been censoring their own fans from attending for 40 years to be fair

Of course, this is Scotland - the OF including their former players can target who they want and say what they like without fear of punishment. It makes me sick. And the establishment allow it to continue. Well done Dundee for standing up to this pr1ck.
If fans say anything illegal then, yes, they should be held to account, same as any journalist (highly unlikely it would get that far). Ultimately we have a free press in this country so with that you need to take the good with the bad. This is something football clubs would do well to remember. Ultimately they can use their own platform within the press to counter anything they have issue with.

There is illegal and then there is sensational clap trap and hidden hatred. Unfortunately the press thrive on latter and nothing is done.

Take petrol in england - wtaf??????? press is powerful run by weasels to create sh!t out of nothing.

I will say it again whilst i think their actions wont help them in long run fvck boyd and well done dundee. Clubs like our should amalgamate to deplore cvnts like that and sh!te press that is degrading and sensational to the minority. The minority win because they totally bypass logic in masses.

It's a slippery slope though. Who at a club is deciding what's acceptable or not?

As an aside, broadcasters pay a lot of money for the rights to show live matches so I wouldn't be surprised if future contacts state they alone can decide who they want to be pundits and the club's need to provide access...

It is a difficult balance for sure here.

Freedom of speech is an absolute right BUT in this instance it was arguably being used to incite a response against an individual. Regardless of views on each of the characters, I would side on the view that it was a calculated move by Boyd to try and negatively impact on Griffiths/Dundee.

With that in mind, I think what Dundee did could be easily justified in this instance. I agree there is the slippery slope concern, and nobody wants people banned on a whim, but I think there is also the need to ensure standards of Journalistic ethics and behaviours too.

As with any asshole out there Terry - I should decide what is acceptable . I alone am the only person to do so and anything else I will tweet about unless its me that breaks these rules (daily) then i will reconfirm my rules and prejudices until everyone else is wrong (in my eyes).

But what does banning him from Dens actually achieve?
