Over 50,000 HGV licences awaiting processing at the DVLA but the civil servants in Swansea have still not returned to work.Just an handful are doing the job.There is no wonder lorry drivers are losing faith,these lazy sods should get back to work.

Bill, do you honestly believe there's only a handful of staff actively working at the DVLA and the rest are refusing to work? If you actually think about it properly for just a moment, do you still believe it is likely to be true?

If you actually google it and read beyond the headline, its not a Labour party policy and Starmer has stood by the existing party policy of a rise to £10.

There was a non-binding vote at the Labour party conference, as there is with many fanciful ideas, but don't get confused into thinking its means anything.

Back on topic. Here in the US there are 100s of container ships sitting out in the Pacific off the west coast awaiting unloading. The backlog is partially due to lack of dock workers and partially due to lack of lorry drivers. As each ship holds 10,000-20,000 containers that's a lot of stuff and the backlog isn't expected to be cleared until well into 2022. I assume people will be complaining they can't get their new iPhone
