    My thoughts exactly.

It’s so blindingly obvious that we need a proper target man.

Diagne would’ve been fantastic at this level.

We continually spoil the ship for the sake of a hapeneth of tar.

The reason we got relegated after a long stint in the top division due to the fact we didn’t replace Morrison whilst injured, we had nobody in midfield who could break the last defender and get into the box.

We also constantly bought rotten centre forwards.

At present we need a CF and an athletic, physical presence alongside Mowatt, someone who can impose themselves and get around the pitch.

We have physicality at the back but absolutely none through the middle and a very poor CF.

    FFS wake up Albion.

I knew it would be tough last night, Stoke always is. But credit where it's due they matched us for work rate and created far more chances, I don't think we created one, the final ball wasn't there.
We got out of jail more than once, it could have been worse.
Our first defeat in 11 games, the test will be how we react after the international break.

We never replaced Pereira with a creative player. And no quality CF. Diagne would have been a beast at this level and expect we could have got him for a few £m. As many have said many times ..... if only we had spent a bit of the money coming from sales/offloads .... we could have walked this division ..... now we are one of about six or seven clubs in a dog fight ....

That's a fair assumption Barrera mate , I don’t believe we have a good side just an average team with average players & an average manager, + all teams can match us in this league fitness wise & can play the hight tempo game if aloud to play so , thats when you need something special that so call key like a Pereira or real goal scorer like a Gayle to make something out of nothing, & we ain't got nether 😭

I agree but how can you call Val average when he was a miracle worker at Barnsley and we are top of the league with not one player who is Premier Class and in fact the weakest West Brom team for years? In my eyes Val is already squeezing more out of them than any other manager would. Fulham have invested many millions and have twice the value of our squad and they have just got hammered at Coventry!

Val should be given more credit than he's getting in my book and it's pathetic he's not considering NOT one player would be snapped up by a Premier team. Even Clarke who we are praying to come back quick could not even get in the Brighton team! Hugill could not get in a s hitty Norwich team and they would still beat us!

He’s average because he has no other plan , if he was good he’d see he needs to change things in play but he doesn’t just personnel

What a load of f uckin bollox! Perhaps we should have the Fulham manager as they have invested millions! Oh dear they were hammered today!!!!

We have not one player who is Premier class unlike previous seasons - spent sweet f uck all - top of the league as of yesterday and you expect more! Complete joke!

For the very weak squad we have - the football on the whole has been entertaining but perhaps you feel players like Livermore, Phillips, Ajayi, Bartley, Zohore should be like Messi!

Even Pepe would get not one inch more out of these players! Is it Val's fault we have average championship players? Our best player is Mowatt and that tells you the story and why is he at West Brom? Now let me think.......

If we had spent some money, and I use the word some, I feel we would comfortably gain promotion from this division. We haven't spent a penny and yet are in second place. Let's hope that whatever we need in the January window, within reason, Lai will 'cough up.' I wouldn't put money on it though.
