Courts making a statement against racism at the end. Something went on directed at Fuchs around the first goal. Suspect from the fans given how it was handled.

Would be good to see them pumped out the league this season. Awful awful football team
Yeah, something was shouted from the stands of which, I think, Pawlett heard. Courts held up a show racism the red card t-shirt at the end.

Can't think of a start like this with regards winning 1-0 so many times, good to have that confidence defensively, since the poor showing at Pittodrie we've lost just 3 goals in league and thats having played both uglies, even being positive I wouldn't have saw that

Probably the best we've been as a defence (post Jim) over the years was the 96/97 Tommy McLean, we had a lot of cleansheets that year but were more a threat going forward, a season like that losing less goals than games played would give a shout at a top 4 finish, no getting carried away either, we can't rely on that all the time but hopefully get a decent target man in if possible from free agent list

I doubt we'll find someone good enough in the 'free agent' market. It's hard enough to get decent players in the Jan window.

But given they way things are going for us just now, I think we should definitely be looking to identify a suitable striker that may be be worth signing in the Jan window.

Still a few months until then.

In the meantime I'd be doing intensive work with Appere to try turn him into what we need.

With his physique he should be playing like a battering ram up front like Mark Hateley.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything from Loui to suggest he has any aerial ability or inclination to use his physique in that way.

We've talked up our coaching infrastructure a lot. Let's get it working on Louis to get him into the player we need.

Appere is a nice player but think he lacks the killer instinct and physical aggression. We played some really nice passing football today first half, but the lack of a striker to occupy our opponents and take pressure off the rest of the team (and score goals) is going to eventually tell, cant keep winning games by such tight margins. If we end up getting a free, the likelihood is they will be miles off fitness.

Have to say ref was bit clueless today, some of his attempts at letting play go on for both teams when there was clearly no advantage was baffling, as was his shrug of shoulders and play-on when the Ross County player lost his footing and slipped and totally wiped out Harkes as he was getting ready to head the ball.

Agree with all of this, plus we need to get Chalmers back on his developmental curve upwards

I think we looked pretty comfortable tbh. Niskanen looks like he's going to be a good signing and will hopefully grow in confidence now he's opened his account. Freeman and McMann were both really good and Pawlett put in a tremendous shift again and should never have been booked. Clark really should have buried that header to put the game to bed but I still think we closed out the game well enough. We definitely need another striker though and, as has been said by others, let's hope this can be addressed with an out of contract addition before the next game. All in all though, we have had an excellent start to the season, much better than anyone had us down for. Well done Tam and the boys 👏👏
