    Netflix - The Chestnut Man.

This has got off to a very good start.

If you can put up with dubbed voices this Nordic serial killer series is very dark and different.

Stretching over a 34 year killing spree.

    I love this s h I t.

Thanks Mick. Been meaning to watch this as the books meant to be really good.

You should try Mare of Eastown or The Night Of if you like that sort of genre. There’s a great Korean film called Memories of Murder which is an incredible true story of the hunt for a killer.

Looks to be another good recommendation Mick! Only thing I dislike is the dubbed voices as you said, don't know why they feel they have to do this as IMHO subtitles are far better. My better half can't see how I can enjoy so many subtitled series but I think ones like Scandinavia Noir Killing and The Bridge or the French Spiral were some of the best things on TV. (Mind you, she also can't see how I like so many old black and white films either but I tell her she is just missing out on stuff). Will have to check out the ones baggiematt mentioned too.

Totally agree about The Bridge and Spiral, two of the best crime series ever.

I read the Chestnut Man last Autumn in lockdown. I know how it ends, but yesterday I watched the complete series to see if it is as good as the book. It was.

Been laid up with the dreaded man flu so have had chance to watch Memories of Murder (on Prime) which was really good. As haven't managed to get much sleep I also binged watched the Chestnut Man. Both were excellent so thanks to Mick and Matt for the recommendations!

Very good watch much darker than your average Scandi Noir!
