It does need sorting. Right from the top in terms of rules.
Why have they stopped having balls placed around the pitch which allowed for quick restarts?
If you do the above you could invoke a time limit before possession is transferred. 15 seconds is plenty to get a ball back in to play. If you have a throw in and don’t take it in time, the opposition get the throw in. If you have a corner and don’t take in time, it becomes a goal kick and vice versa. Free kicks the same.
Any player deemed to time waste by arguing with the officials, kicking the ball away or retreating the required distance will be booked and possession moved up to 10 yards in favour of the team in possession (the choice is there’s)
In terms of injuries, it’s a tough one to address, however, this is one where the clock should stop. For me if there is an obvious clash then that’s fine. However, if not, the player in question will be asked to leave the pitch for a 2 minute period with no subs allowed. This would stop the pretend cramping etc

    Just a few ideas.

I'd be in favour of all of the above

Sound ideas I think. Maybe the 4th official can have control of the clock stopping and restarting.

    Good Idea
They don't do much else do they?

Interesting to read reactions of our fans over the posts since last night
I share most of them, hurt, frustration, anger and disappointment. But i'm a Notts County Fan through and through. And once the anger dust settles ,will always support them whatever. For a club that has gone through as much as ours, we truly have the most loyal terrific fans
Let's get down to Yeovil on saturday sing our hearts out and get behind the lads.

Is that just in the NL or throughout all football they've stopped? Matchballs are about £100 a pop. Don't know if the league supply them or the club but I'd imagine there are some clubs in non-league who can't afford to have 10 on the go at that price.

That was definitely a rule a few years ago, don't know whether it was just a trial or it got dropped.
