Yep, what a 100% ****eshow. Although they ARE the government, merely deciding how to allocate and spend money, running the departments within it. There is almost zero talent in that cabinet. Kevin Stewart as Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care, for fuuck’s sake? Somerville lost with the Education brief (ask any committed EIS member)? Keith Brown for whom I had high hopes now a shouty Blackford clone.

Nope. The divisiveness of nationality, however it is expressed is waaaaay down the list of how I identify. The chauvinism and exceptionalism spawned by ‘national pride’ play into the right wing’s blood-tainted centuries-old divide and rule mitts. As Jo Cox once said, “There’s more that unites us than divides us”, but we’re led by the fuucking nose time and again by a gleeful establishment (including the Scottish and UK political establishments) to squabble and fecht among ourselves when effort and energy could be far more positively harnessed and deployed. That endangers those addicted to wealth and power though, and they’re closer to home than you think.

There isn't a political entity that I would trust to nip to Morrisons to purchase a pint of milk on my behalf.
But there's not a cat in hell's chance that Westminster don't elect these monstrosities over and over, if not them specifically then an ideological wolf of similar morality wearing a pretendy sheep suit.
If our wee five and a half million can get self determination then I'm convinced a political entity would evolve for whom I would eschew the c0ck and balls option.
I may, of course, be wrong but I do not forsee things getting any worse than the now de facto norm in my scenario.

I’ve spent the last decade working alongside the English working class, from up & down the country. Based on my experience, I have next to nothing in common with them. A few notable exceptions but for the most part, they hold views that would make a hun blush. England needs to sort its own sh1t out
