    Calum Robinson - Not Vaccinated

See a number of supporters are slagging him off as he's not had the vaccine through his own choice. Very short sighted in my view.

I am double jabbed and will soon have a booster due to health issues but still say with people like Callum it's their own choice and certainly not selfish. I get why some don't want the vaccine like Calum and if they are doing lots of lateral flows/PCR - then what's the issue.

The government are now desperate to vaccinate 12-15 year old's whose bodies are still growing and my wife does not yet want my daughter to have it. She's had Covid so why rush with a vaccine for a child without any accurate data!

We should not forget many who are double jabbed are still getting Covid. Anybody who is young, very fit and healthy probably would have very few symptoms anyway.

I go to football matches now, don't wear a mask and take my chances. I want a life! For those who are still very worried then best to stay at home rather than moan at others who have a right to refuse the vaccine.

Yes as things stand taking the jab is your own personal choice. The media though are hell bent on naming and shaming as though it is a crime against humanity. The media have been an utter disgrace in their coverage of covid with no proper journalistic reporting into the adverse reactions that many have experienced from the jab plus the tyrannical insanity that the Australian Government are inflicting on their own citizens ie bashing their heads with batons. Enough is enough with these witch hunts, just leave people to get on with their lives in the short time that we have on this Earth.

I just don’t get the “not having it” mentality, I really don’t.

And if my kids were under 18 and living at home they’d be having it,it’s as simple as that for me.

The problem with the "it's my choice to be vaccinated, it doesn't affect anyone else " argument is that its wrong. It actually does affect other people. Anyone who is immunocompromised, for example if they have cancer, an autoimmune disease such as rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, lupus, or anyone taking steroids or other immunosuppressant drugs is extremely vulnerable to a disease like Covid-19. Furthermore a lot of those people cannot take the vaccination for medical reasons. So the more Covid there is around, the higher their risk is of getting it and dying from it. For example, my daughter is 24 years old, newly married and working on a PhD but she has really bad Crohn's disease. Is really only your business if you get Covid because you're not vaccinated and then give it to her? Covid could easily kill her.
When Covid first came out there was no vaccination. So we were bound to suffer through the first wave and the second wave. The third wave occurred shortly after people started getting vaccinated so perhaps we couldn't vaccinate people quickly enough. But the fourth wave has happened for the simple reason that not enough people got vaccinated. My wife is a doctor and she said something like 98% of people in hospital with Covid right now are not vaccinated. If everybody had been vaccinated, even though some people who are vaccinated can still get Covid, it would be far more under control because even if you do get Covid after you are vaccinated, the symptoms are less severe and when the symptoms are less severe it's much more difficult for the virus to spread to other people. Therefore, fewer people get infected. Furthermore, when a virus like Covid has a large enough population to infect, the chances of it mutating into a new and perhaps deadlier variation are also far higher - and that's exactly what happened. I am by no means an expert but my uneducated guess is that we would not have this Delta variant if everybody had been vaccinated in the first place. And now we are having to vaccinate our children because Delta is far easier to spread, is deadlier and is affecting younger and younger people.
One analogy I heard from a doctor is that getting vaccinated is like drinking and driving. Yes it your choice to drink but as soon as you get behind the wheel it's not just your life at stake, it's those around you. While I get that some people are cautious about whatever risks there are in taking a very new vaccine, the risks of Covid are far worse. So it is about as rational to avoid the Covid vaccine out of fear of the risk as it is to avoid flying for fear of crashing when you're not concerned about the far higher risk of dying on the drive to the airport.
So there is no logical, scientific, rational, or personal choice reason not to get vaccinated. It's ignorant and extremely selfish not to get vaccinated because you are in fact contributing to the deaths of innocent people. I can forgive ignorance but selfishness is inexcusable.

Well said, Calgary. Robinson looks like a fool, he won’t even give a reason why he has not had the vaccine, he is setting a bad example. Personally, I think that football clubs should require all staff to have the vaccine and if the refuse, we’ll, they don’t play or get paid.

Totally disagree and I have been double jabbed. I have no problem with anyone who does not want it and would gladly shake their hands and I have! I know two doctors who refuse to take it too! Why would I want my young 13 year old to have a jab when there's no real data and shes fitter than fit! In fact she's had Covid and there were zero symptoms. No parent has the right to overrule a 12-15 year old with the jab and that's law! My 13 year old is mega intelligent through a good education so she can decide for herself and that's fine by me - she has read up about it on-line and probably knows more facts than most adults.

The MMR has many cases which are linked to autism and many parents refuse that too - it's their choice!

I am taking my chances and have a serious illness but hey - I want a life! For those who are worried - don't go out and stay indoors! Makes me laugh but many of the oldies wearing masks don't even wear them properly as many don't cover their noses! What good is that!

Seriously though I have no problem with Robinson - his choice - his life and I am informed tests are always taken prior to group training or match day meet ups.

Everyone to their own. Many still think Brexit was the best option too! I admit I was wrong and Brexit ( at the moment ) is killing trade! Where are all those lucrative trade deals? I thought illegal immigration was going to be stopped but more and more are coming in. Then again same thing - whatever each individual likes/wants/chooses is up to them and nobody else.

Can the last person out turn off the lights. Meanwhile that little c unt in China is having a great old laugh pocketing the money but hey unlike other clubs who demonstrate - we don't!

So given that you now need to have been double jabbed to attend large gatherings/sporting events etc in Wales is that Robinson out of Swansea away then?
