    Can still feel the draught.

Can still feel the holes being drilled into the side of my head as I pi55ed myself laughing.

Can’t think of any other ground, where home team runs out to away fans. As previous posters have said open Shankly to our support, against Well, Saints, RC Livie etc, give them 3 sections in main stand.

You don't like that teams run out to away fans over to their left at Dens but are happy to have the same fans directly above, and closer to, them? Don't know where to start with that one.

Some previous posters are suggesting what you say, some are suggesting the club permanently moves Dundee fans from Coxy to Shankly. I've no issue with the opening of Shankly to PATG Dundee fans, or even to any Coxy regulars that want to go there, however the three games you mention won't draw enough extra Dundee fans to justify the expense of opening another stand to us. It will also further disperse the existing support resulting in less atmosphere in both the Cox and Shankly.

I'll repeat it again, the problem isn't Coxy or Shankly, or even the people in those stands, it's The Derry that's the problem and no matter how many suggestions people make, or how many attempts the club might make some day to move people around, as long as that area of the ground is in the state that it is now nothing will improve at Dens.

Moving ends is the best "practical" option on a zero budget.

And I disagree a bit I do think the problem is the Cox.

Where I do agree is opening shankly to Dee fans dilutes the support, I'd only really want this if it was a with a view to moving everyone permanently but it's a half way house I'd accept in the short term.

It would maybe encourage those who want to make a racket decant there......and leave those in the Cox who want to snooze through the game to it.

To facilitate this club could allow all season tic holders from other parts of the ground to move seat to shankly without having to shift season tic for the 5 lesser supported teams.

    Practical, but entirely pointless.

You agree our fans are too far apart and you would move the Derry if you could but think bringing our fans together is pointless. 🤔

Never said I'd move to the Derry, I'm old enough to feel more at home in Mainer with Islay, and never agreed the fans are 'too far apart'. I did say I'd move fans in Derry closer to Cox in an ideal world. EDIT - actually I think I said demolish it and move closer to the pitch.

I don't see moving fans from one stand to an identical stand at the other end of the ground as likely to achieve anything. If it was to move 'close' rather than just 'closer' it might have some merit. I could be wrong of course, I was wrong once and I'm still married to her.

They had a vote when the stands were complete , they voted on the names and which stand would be the home and away end , it was overwhelming in favour of calling the provie the Bobby Cox and it being the home stand , I’ve sat in the Shankly a few times when it’s been opened , they let us in it a few times during the Deefiant season , and also the hamilton game in the game before Hartley got sacked , I have to say it’s a much colder stand the cold wind usually comes from that direction in the winter , plus the setting sun in the winter gets in your eyes from the start of the second half so it’s a big fat no from me
