You can still show a covid pass that displays a negative lateral flow test so he will still be eligible to play in Swansea

I don't know the reason why Robinson has decided not to have the vaccination jab as, on the face of it, given the situation where he is in close contact with a lot of people, it would seem a reasonable thing to do. Having the jab won't stop you from getting covid nor will it stop you from being able to pass it on to others but it is a good bet that it will make your own symptoms far less serious if you do get it than if you have not been vaccinated. It's all about a balance of risk factors. In my work I come into contact with members of the public so have been double jabbed but my better half has fibromyalgia and barely leaves the house so has very limited contact with others. Due to her general state of health she does not want to have the vaccine and risk any side effects making her worse than she already is. If she did have more contact with others she would consider having the jab, but as things stand she doesn't want to as she feels she is not that much at risk (I take all the reasonable precautions Inc lateral flow tests due to the nature of my own job in order to reduce the risk of getting it myself and then passing it on). I would prefer her to have the vaccination, but understand why she doesn't want it at the moment. At the end of the day, it is about making informed personal decisions but also not making decisions that might put others unduly at risk.

The reason why Robinson won't have the jab is because he has his own mind and its personal choice. Like your wife, I am vulnerable and double jabbed and will soon have the booster. Do I think my daughter or another child is selfish
for not having the jab ( yet )? No not at all - glad they are educated and ready up on all this and havea mind of their own.

I take my chances now too. My view I know but want a life albeit there may be risks etc etc.

Everything personal choice so I applaud Callum as all players will be tested on meet ups anyway.

I don't know what the club's position is on this matter. I would imagine that it must be that they feel that it is a personal decision. From my point of view, I think that players should be vaccinated in order to protect others. That is, unless there is a medical condition that could be compromised.

If you can still pass on and contract the virus after being double jabbed then how on earth are you protecting others? If everyone around you is tested negative or have natural immunity due to antibodies then does that not afford better protection?

Wonder what the insurers of the players think because what would happen if a player got long covid and is out for say 3 months all because they didn’t get jabbed

A week last Sunday, we had a family lunch with my 2 daughters, son in law and 2 grand-children. We have all subsequently tested positive for Covid and are having to self-isolate (in my case until next Wednesday). All the adults are double-vaccinated and all of us are carrying on as normal and haven't taken to our beds (my daughter and son-in-law are continuing to work from home). The message is the vaccine works for the vast majority of us and stops us from developing serious side-effects. I am just glad that we are vaccinated and hate to think what could have happened without it!

Robinson has caught COVID and hasn’t been the same player since! It is highly probable that had he been fully vaccinated he wouldn’t have been as ill or even ill in the first place. He has gone right down in my estimation!

The evidence suggests it reduces transmission to others, not stop it.

The trouble with LFT tests is that they are prone to not being an accurate test. Some studies reckon it’s only 60% effective. Good for whittling out some positives but not the full solution.

We will get natural protection, but it’s the damage it can do to folk in the meantime.

Good news is that some scientists feel it’s following the natural path of most viruses in that it gets more transmittable but weaker in impact. Might take a little time to get to that point though.

Not correct Dave as a huge percentage who have been double jabbed are catching Covid. Most individuals who are young, healthy and super fit don't even usually get any symptoms. Yes if you are vulnerable, elderly or overweight then of course the double jab will have benefits.

Rubbish to suggest he's not the same player because of Covid - again probably had a sore throat before which was worse! Calum like Phillips has always been inconsistent and Livermore is far more inconsistent than consistently very average.
