Surely to tire a team out you need sustained periods of pressure in the opposition's half where they aren't allowed to relax due to the possible upcoming danger/threat.

If an opposition sees the ball being knocked about in the other half then it can only tire out their forwards unless they are undertaking a full court press and pressurising as a team, which just doesn't happen at the level of lower leagues. The rest of the side can mentally and physically relax a little not that I mind us having the ball, and recycling amongst our defence and midfield.

I can't stand a long ball game which mean the opposition's coming back at you constantly. If you question the critics of IB's philosophy a bit further, it wouldn't be long before the words ''flick on'' are heard - the single-most useless strategy in football. I've said before, posts about basic playing style are a waste of time while IB's our Head Coach and IMO he's trying to play the right way and there's nothing wrong with it. And the idea that professional footballers in 2021, many coming through Premier and Championship academies, can't play a passing game is ridiculous.

Style is not our problem at all. Bravery, consistency, execution, experience. mental toughness were the question marks in those three defeats and they can apply to any playing style

Final point, players are trying to follow their training and instructions on the pitch - so anybody bawling 'gerritforward' from the Pavis needs to move to the away end
    I agree 100%.
There is one bloke in the Pavis Block B somewhere around row P or R who constantly shouts "Forward" the moment a Notts defender touches the ball (dozens of times a match). If we could move him to the away end please.
Maybe he posts on here ??

    This.

I think some people watching Notts simply like to go for a good moan. If we were playing long-balls they would moan about that too. Some of them even moan when we win.

It's no coincidence that our 3 defeats have coincided with out experienced defenders/gk being out.

Without doubt that's the case Mapperley near where I sat for over 20 seasons. When we scored a goal some times I'd look over and the same people that had been moaning and occasionally getting worked all game would often be almost reluctantly applauding. Talk about a subdued reaction for a goal. I imagined they get moaned at home a lot and these henpecked husband finally get to moan back this time at some footballers and officials 25 times a season. Probably much needed. Bless.

Oh and 1955 I can assure you it's not restricted to Block B in the Pavis far from it. Foooorrrwaarrddd!!!

You get players and player families sat in front of us in F block, that can be quite embarrassing at times when you can hear someone slinging abuse at a player and then their family turn around trying to see who it was. Had the same with injured players as well, it's reet imbarrissing.

Whilst Warnock has clearly had success as a manager (not least at Notts) and deserves a level of respect, he is certainly not as infallible as some who revere him seem to believe. I have him in a similar bracket to Martin Allen and Sam Allardyce - very adept at short term jobs like getting there or thereabouts teams promoted or keeping limited teams up. His Plan A is fantastic when it works. Sooner or later, though, his blood and thunder methods wear out, there is no Plan B and the team unravels just the same as a manager insisting on playing the Dario Gradi way with no adaptability the other way.

You then either need to move on quickly or he'll have you back where you started.
One day hopefully we will see a Burch's Plan B, it seems at present to be the same as Plan A. Only try a bit harder, please.

C'mon Woody, IB has shown more than many managers before him in recent times that he isn't afraid to change things up if it's not going our way. Not saying it works every time but he can't be accused of having no plan B.

I don’t know where you sit, but thats the exact opposite to what I see. It’s those who sit quiet as a mouse during the game who are the ones who remain seated and politely applaud when we score a goal.

Well that's just plain wrong Woody. He's changed personnel and whole formations at HT on more than one occasion. If that's not a Plan B then I don't know what is. Richard is right he's far braver than any past manager I can think of in terms of early and big changes when he doesn't see what he likes sees or spots a weakness in the opposition.
