I only watched it on iFollow but think hammered is a bit of a strong word to express they were better than than us in 2nd half tbh
If they hammered us wouldn’t the score line have been different?

I'd like to comment on the action but the highlights on YouTube are so pixilated it's like viewing a 1980s version of Super Mario
(PS I did just find a better copy)

Watched game on I follow then brief highlights today. We had 3 chances they had more. Vickers 6 Edmunds Green 5 Wood 6 Ihiekwe 5 Harding 6 Wiles 6 Barlaser 7 Rathbone 5 Miller 5 Smith 6 Ladapo 6 Ogbene 5 Ferguson 5.
If you compare yesterday result/performance by the past month then we were poor. Was this Charlton stopping us playing, matching us or us being a little leggy. Most Charlton fans think we are nailed on for autos so i guess we looked a good side.
I suppose if you broke it down we were a solid 7/10 where we have been 9/10 for the past few games.
Good game, worst on the pitch was the ref. Ike should have walked. Charlton goal was a foul. Suggestion Rotherham goal, ball went out of play when crossed in. Though can't blame ref for that one.
Anyway games gone,. Another point in the bag. Hopefully the shrews game is called off to recharge the Batterys
The people who went and watched it live are saying we did not get hammered.
Can't judge how a football match has been played out just by watching it on a TV screen. You only see what the producer can show you which is some of the storey but not all of it.
Not sure now someone can say we got hammered because they launched wave after wave of attacks but we stood up well to it. No awards are made for how many attacks are made that are unsuccessful
The problem Charlton have is that they are poor finishers and that quote came from quite a few of their fans

Ferguson should have scored.
Ladapo a fantastic save.
We had good opportunities second half.
7 of us went and thought a draw was a fair result.
They played well and put us under pressure.
That is allowed.
Look at the stats it’s never been a hammering.
I suppose I follow shows things we don’t see.
Although Brin and Ronners are getting old
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good hard competitive match last night. We can’t win them all and shouldn’t expect to. Charlton were well up for it and pushed us all the way.
The ref has come in for some stick, he allowed blatant pushing but pulled up play and booked players for innocuous challenges. This affected performances afterwards as players on bookings were wary of putting in challenges.
A draw was probably a fair result.
I was at the game and whilst we weren't hammered by any means, they put us under a lot of pressure for periods of the 2nd half and if they had snatched a winner, I wouldn't have any complaints. But our defence was largely solid save for the telling Reg lapse for the goal.
Big shout out to the home fans though. They were loud and singing throughout the game, even when losing and the fact that every positive move brought rapturous applause and approval clearly kept their players lifted and I thought they were a twelfth man. Fair play to them
These stats don’t suggest a hammering or wave after wave of attack.

We had more:
Possession
Shots
Blocked shots
Crosses
Completed passes
Passes in opposition half
Corners
We drew away at a much improved side. We are after the Lord Mayors show.
Seemed a fair result to me.
