The saddest thing is we have the weakest opposition party in political history.

Where we go from here I have no f*cking idea.
Since I retired over twenty years ago I have not had any personal contact with any political leaders. However it does appear that Starmer is not what is needed as leader of the opposition and he seems to be allowing Johnson to get away with things that appear clearly not to be in the interest of the British people.

The only labour politician that appears to be ready to take on Johnson is Andy Burnham, but he is not a member of parliament. As for a challenge within the tory party not one person comes to mind.

Storm in a teacup, the woman is a Lefty, common purpose graduate with a proven record of excusing Labour wrongdoings but coming down hard on the Tories. Even Bercow, who hates the Tories more than any Labour MP, said the Paterson case had been badly handled. Her vindictive inquiry has already caused the suicide of Paterson's's wife, at last the Tories have got something right, hopefully she'll resign and they'll be well shot of her.

And of course, what goes around comes around, Labour MPs will pretend they're outraged, and pretend they've never heard of Elizabeth Filkin, but I'm sure you'll remember her well BT, the Standards Commissioner hounded out of office by Labour after her investigation into Labour sleazebag extraordinaire Peter Mandelson.

After listening to two minutes of Labour hypocrites whining today, I switched the radio off and went in search of a sick bag.

Your "blue" blind spot never fails to amaze me sinkov, every time the Tories come under fire you attack either the Labour party or the person who revealed the sleaze.

The Independent Standards Commissioner and the standards committee found that Owen Paterson MP broke parliamentary rules, he was guilty of lobbying on behalf of two companies who paid him more than £100,000.

He used his Parliamentary office to do so, and it was recommended by the Parliamentary standards committee that he be suspended from Parliament. But that didn’t happen, the Tory "scum" (Angela Rayner spot on!) circled the wagons and protected one of their own.

Not only did the Conservative MPs overturn the findings of the committee yesterday, they then voted to alter the rules that govern the committee!

I hope your sick bag has a strong bottom mon ami!

    Cash for questions anyone?

Just more every day Tory corruption. Paterson was receiving money from a private company to ask questions on its behalf.

Remind me sinkov who was the last Tory toerag from Cheshire who was caught bang at it?

Neil Hamilton and his accomplice who's name escapes me, but the Tory scum never learn do they sinkov?

If I recall correctly following the ‘Cash for Questions’ scandal the Conservative Party set up a Committee on Standards in Public Life to look at the declining standards of parliament and people in public life.

A quarter of a century on and they are still bang at it. It really is disgraceful.

If I remember correctly after the Neil Hamilton scandal, he was defeated in the next general election by Martin Bell, the white suit man. But then didn't Hamilton and his wife take up television appearances so maximising their ill gotten gains as I don't think they would have been doing it for free.

Under the current government we are regressing in terms of the underhanded behaviour which only shows the greed of some of our so called leaders.

Burnham may not currently be an MP but he sure has ambition and doubtless is hoping to use his position as Mayor of Manchester to mount a future leadership bid. The Red Wall is safe with me is one of his slogans. Unfortunately the Green Belt where I live in Radcliffe is not. His “Places for Everyone” plan is to build all over a big chunk of it.

Politics BT, I'm amazed at your naivety, even the poison dwarf Bercow wasn't having the process. Instead of just the usual tedious Lefty knee jerk reaction, find out what Bercow was objecting to, find out what Paterson is objecting to, find out just how flawed and dysfunctional the process was. It stinks and the Tories have done something about it.

And while you're at it, tell me exactly what it is that Paterson has done wrong, exactly and precisely please, not hiding behind some meaningless word like lobbying, and also while we're at it, do you remember Elizabeth Filkin, or are you like all lefties, possessed of a selective memory ?

You can’t blame the Labour party for this self- imposed Tory mess sinkov. Kathryn Stone who seeks out all party bad behaviour is employed by parliament, rather than the government, to safeguard independence.

Stone pursued Johnson relentlessly for his well-documented Mustique freebie and the pair have form. She is currently the sixth commissioner since the post was created in 1995. She has previously published highly critical reports on the behaviour of the likes of former Labour MP Keith Vaz and the DUP MP Ian Paisley Jr. Like I said she pursues wrong ‘uns across the political spectrum.

Paterson’s financial skulduggery was revealed by the Parliamentary Standards Committee who found that Mr Paterson, the Conservative MP for North Shropshire, had repeatedly lobbied on the behalf of Randox, the clinical diagnostics company, and Lynn’s Country Foods, the food manufacturer.

His own register of interests suggests they paid him £112,000 a year, significantly more than his salary as an MP. The dude is paid taxpayers lucre to represent his constituents, not to promote the interests of his lifestyle funders.

What Elizabeth Filkin has got to with this is beyond me mon ami? I recall a Vaz inspired "whispering campaign" against Ms Filkin, when he was alleged to be plying young men with drugs and then having his way with them and she was all over his case.. Where is Vaz now?

There you go again BT, hiding behind the word 'lobbied', what has he actually done ? You don't know do you, because you'd have to delve deeply into this case to actually find out what it's all about, which very few people who are commenting on this case will actually have done, and it's difficult to find out because Stone has conducted this witch-hunt in a disgraceful fashion, which even had the Tory hating Bercow getting very twitchy about it.

I've been following this case closely for quite some time BT, unlike some who have only come across it recently, and just want to use it as a stick to beat the Tories with, because Rose Paterson was Chairman of Aintree racecourse, and as such I'd seen her interviewed on TV many times and read a lot about her, and when she committed suicide I was shocked, from what I knew of her she was one of the last people on earth you'd expect to to top herself. So I found out what was behind it, expecting it to be one of the two usual suspects, $ex or money, but it was neither, it was the knowledge that Stone was persuing her husband, with no due process, and was determined to wreck his career, his reputation and by association hers as well. She knew 2 years ago what the outcome would be, they could do nothing about it, he was being stitched up like a kipper by Stone, so the poor woman took her own life.

I notice the stone-faced bitch hasn't resigned, she'll carry on collecting her blood money for another couple of years, but Paterson has resigned. Good for him, one MP with some decency and honour, unlike the lefty ****houses on the Labour benches, skulking behind their muzzles, set of ****s.
