Best left foot at the club and won the ball for tonight’s winner.

I don’t think Val could find his a r s e with his own right hand at the moment.

To me, it looks like he playing “Pin the tail on the donkey” when it comes to team selection......he’s doing it blindfold.

Looks like we got a “result” at Fulham.

0-3 was something of a gift!
Reach came on and did well last night, but its hardly like he's first name on the team sheet. He doesn't get a regular game because Townsend has been better than him at LWB this season. That's the position he was bought in for. Unless you drop Townsend to Left CH, which happened last night because of injuries. Livermore won the ball for the goal.

I'm not sure what you are expecting Val to do. The only player I might have started with last night was Molumby for one of the two CM's. And Livermore vindicated his place as he effectively won us the game with that tackle high up the pitch, I thought he did okay.

Ajayi has been poor in recent weeks and deserved to be dropped. Kean Bryan probably deserved his chance. The front 3 picks itself at the moment. And he took a risk bringing a young player in who was one of our better players last night.

Honestly, don't understand how anyone can dig Val out for last night's team selection. He's working with the tools he has.

We carve out chance after chance every match. Last night we could of had at least 4 goals before halftime, with the amount of crosses from Townsend and Gardner- Hickman our forwards don't time their runs or don't read the game, always getting there too late.
A good centre forward would solve most of our problems.

I realise that it wasn't an easy selection last night with two suspensions, Mowett's injury plus an out of form Ajaey, but surely Mulumby had to come into the side. Snodgrass had a good game against Bristol but was poor against Fulham and pretty nondescript last night. Whilst Mowett is out I would definitely play Molumby with Livermore or Reach. Hugill, to my mind, shouldn't even be on the bench. He's shown nothing at all to date.

I did not get to the game or watch on TV . I was limited to updates from my mobile
    But tell me
As always our shots on target appear to be so poor. Stats can be so misleading but can anyone give me a sense of perspective because the stats indicate that as the expression goes, barn door and Banjo
The games ive seen yes Furlong, Hugill, Phillips, Robinson and Livermore have all faied to hit the target when given very good opportunities which should have been goals. Furlong has missed two sitters for exmple.

I agree with you re Hugill, but I kind of feel Val hasn't got much choice. We need a big target man up front. Our only other option is Zohore, who doesn't look bothered.

Molumby had a case to play last night too, but overall I don't think Val has got many options with team selection.

I actually think we're doing well to have 31 points from 16 games. The football isn't great but if we win on Saturday we will be going at exactly 2 points per game which is automatic promotion form. And with this squad, he's performing miracles to be achieving that return.

Last night we were the better side, Hull didn't really have a sniff until the last few minutes when they had some set pieces and put some crosses in which lead to some a couple of half chances.

We scored because of a bad mistake from them / good pressing from us. Livermore won the ball high up the pitch. We hit the post first half and Grant had a good chance after he had scored at 1-0. Otherwise we huffed and puffed, we didn't really carve them open and there wasn't that many clear chances in the game.

I suppose we deserved to win a poor game of football is how I would analyse it.

That about sums it up. The only thing to add is that Hull came for the draw using all the tricks in the book, fake injuries (one genuine), various time wasting tactics etc. Nearly got it as well!

Wouldn’t disagree with that although would have started with Molumby and perhaps Diangana but he’s hit and miss. The young lad was superb and thought Bryan was effective. Reach did well when he came on though and like him.

You are right about Val though having to do with what he’s got. O’Shea will be back in Jan and pray we get Dike or similar and that’s what we need.

You are right al, despite quite a few poor performances, we are sitting third on 31 points and with O'Shea coming back and possibly a Dyke like striker coming in, we could be OK. That is what we are desperately short of. As someone has already stated, the number of good crosses that we don't quite get to has been our downfall.
