I don’t know who Norwich and Villa think they are! S hit squads and managers get sacked!

As for West Brom with that squad even Klopp couldn’t add quality where it’s simply not there and never will be!

    One word - Investment!

I feel for Farke in that the club seem content to be a yo-yo club by the limitations on their spend and because they sold their star man at the start of the season. They have been dismal this season but it feels like they are taking a big gamble as he almost guarantees them promotion at the end of next season when they go down.

We have a very similar points to game ratio to Brentford last season. We could be in a far worse position without Val than with him. Give him a couple of windows to sign some decent players that suit what he wants to achieve and get off his case.

Didn't Val say that it might take a couple of season's to gain promotion when he came here?
The reason he was given a four year contract and told it was long term.
We are in a better position than I thought we would be at this stage.
If anyone thinks we should be top of the league and playing like Brazil with this team they might be better following wrestling.

Where do clubs like us, Norwich, Bournemouth, even Villa get these quality players to improve?

As an example Chelsea had 37 players out on loan last year and similar amount this year. Most, if not all of them would walk into our first team.

Are they going to leave Chelsea, or any of the other biggest clubs in the same situation, to play for us, Norwich etc? No way Jose.

Money is at the root of this and until better controls such as Caps on squad numbers and salaries are brought in then football will just carry on as it is - protect the rich who get richer!

I agree with all of that; there’s no sign though, of the football authorities doing anything at all that goes against the interests of the ‘big’ clubs. There must be a good many people behind the scenes pocketing some ‘brown envelopes’.

Agree totally 55. Who are we? We are founder members of the football league and all of our success ended with the dismantling of our 70's side when Atkinson took our best players to old trafford. That's some 40 plus years ago, there are lots of teams with proud names who have struggled like we have to get back/maintain/and push for the champion league spots in the Prem. We are what we are. A work in progress with unambitious owners.

I don’t think that you can even call the Club ‘work in progress’, as far our awful Chinese owners are concerned, they just want Premier League status to get a sale, beyond that, I doubt that they give a ****.

Cant argue there Ketts. I was thinking over the past 40 odd years, we've had better and worse but we are still trying to get back to the Prem and stay there and progress. Treading water.
