That's what I thought when I first booked my booster. I could've had Wincobank or Balby as my two nearest so I went for Balby seeing as I live in the east side of Rotherham and Balby is an easy drive from Thrybergh. Anyway, I was told on this site that they were still doing the booster jab at Barbers Avenue in Rawmarsh where I'd had my previous two jabs, even though it wasn't showing up online, so I phoned the number that I was given and I got booked in at Rawmarsh within five minutes of making the call.
Thank you Sir. Well on the mend now and my first day out today having been isolating for the last ten, strictly indoors.
The good lady is looking and sounding much better and a day behind me regarding isolation.
My message to everyone is stay safe don't take risks, it's never gone away and as we all know, it's rife once agin in Rotherham.
Getting volunteers to man every where is not always possible.
Wincobank is hardly a day trip. Get a grip man.
We didn't want to travel an hour for our booster either but that's what would have happened if we'd dialled the 119 number, so we went to our surgery's website (already been told not to dial the surgery for Covid jabs) and there was an 0333 number you could dial for your booster. We knew neighbours who had dialled this number had been given a local venue so we tried it and it worked - venue 5 mins walk away. Mind you, when we got through it did say "You are number 37 in the queue." We held on and it worked.
