If correct, the 9 point deduction will be for exceeding FFP in one or more of the 3 year periods ending in 2016, 2017 and 2018. That as a result of having to resubmit the accounts for those 3 years. I wonder how we'll do in the 3 three year FFP periods ending in 2019, 2020 and 2021........ "News" outlets were reporting 3 points last week. Mel said 4 points in his Radio derby interview a few weeks back.

Over the past weeks and months we've seen a lot of rubbish posted online and in the press about DCFC and the EFL. "News" outlets like FLW, Athletic and the 92 have apparently fabricated all manner of rubbish. The DET has regurgitated a lot of it. All need clickbait to fund their enterprises. I have no idea whether this 9 point penalty posted/printed yesterday is any more true than the 3 point penalty reported last week by the usual suspects. Those responsible for printing/posting it probably don't have an idea either. Personally, although I might speculate on things, I won't believe an extra 3 or 6 or 9 or however many point deduction we receive until it's officially announced on the EFL/DCFC pages.
