Yes, I think some of them will really believe it. Just like a few years ago many of them believed that "we saved your club" because some of them chucked 50p in a bucket.

Actually 4 forest fans at work who never go to see Notts have me a tenner each to put in the bucket, they aint all bad.

No, they ain't. Unlike in many cities with two football clubs we don't actually hate each other. Perhaps it's the divide in league status or maybe because our stadia are only a stone's throw away I don't know but I've never seen the enmity like I have in Brum or Sheffield. The opposing fans in these other cities must go to school together, work together, live near each other, or visit the same pubs just like we do in Nottingham yet when it comes to football there is a real show of hatred of the other's club and fans.

I thought the crowd on Saturday was excellent, given that the opposition aren't one of the traditional big boys in non league.
Credit to them for bringing 700 when they average around 1'200 at home ?

One of my Forest supporting mates said where are all these new fans at regular league games ?
The same place that the 3k-5k away fans of small clubs take to the big premier teams in FA Cup games.
They are there for the cheap tickets or the glamour of Anfield etc.
Will they be there against Kings Lynn, probably not.

If we ever get back to the football league, we would probably be in the top 6 for attendances.
Currently I believe only Swindon, Bradford, Bristol Rovers would get bigger crowds, and the first two are one club only places.

Tranmere, Northampton, Orient, Carlisle probably have a similar fanbase to Notts.

I'm not sure what these clubs' grounds currently hold, but it would be intersting to see what Wrexham, Chessie, Grimsby, Stockport could pull in for a similar event.

I don't hate Forest, i wish Notts could develop a good relationship with them that would benefit both clubs and the city
That being said, having grown up around many Forest supporters, it's some of them that are annoyingly arrogant.
My daughter is a season ticket holder at Forest and came to Notts v Bromley with me
She was quite impressed with the style of play
and said she would definitely come again.
That being said, i'd love to draw them in the cup and give them a lesson at meadow lane
