    Risk of endless loop, failure

    Assuming Asbaghi gets the job.
He’s probably known by Khaled as being brilliant at improving young players.
But how far can you go with that if you don’t know other teams in the Championship ???

I’ve said it before - the biggest loss this summer wasn’t the CEO, H/C or the captain.
The biggest loss was Adam Murray - as he provided the continuity - the bedrock of information on other teams and their players.
Without that in-depth knowledge a new manager is very likely to struggle - even though that manager is excellent at building the confidence of young players - that confidence - especially with young players- can soon seep away after a loss.

If the directors don’t appoint an experienced trainer to assist Asbaghi - a trainer who knows the Championship - then there is a real risk the club will fall into an endless loop of failure.

………. The H/C increases the confidence of the players ……. The H/C dosent know the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition …… The team losses …….. Confidence drops ………. The H/C increases the confidence of the players ……….. The H/C dosent know the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition ……… The team losses ………. Confidence drops ……….
    Etc
    Etc
    Etc

IMO - the directors cannot throw a young talented coach to the wolves like that.
I’m fine if it is Asbaghi - but he needs support from someone who knows the Championship inside and out.

To be honest they are not throwing him to the wolves , he is chucking himself under the bus, he has a job with Sweden u21"s & he should know everything about our club & the way it is run etc if he is considering taking up the challenge , myself I have already gone on record of wanting Warnock but rest assured if Asbaghi takes the gig then its up to him to do the job, if he fails its down to him , it is his choice , now is his chance to lay down his terms & if he needs help then its up to him to ask for it now & ask for anything else he needs now, not later, he should know now exactly what tools he needs to do his job .

He’s in a position of strength, not many other options who interest the club so he needs to demand some trusted coaches with him.

His appointment doesn’t fill me with any excitement but we’ll see

The headlines in a few months time as with Schopp for he chop, Asbagi gets the sacki but not before we have gone full circle , listened to the time to build, adapt , a full transfer window blah ... groundhog day forum posts and back here the otherside of summer in L1.

Should we do ok in L1 we will sell our players in summer ... there really isnt much hope.

He or whoever it is, isn't exactly being thrown to the wolves Nudger.
I hope that the owners have studied this a lot more thoroughly than their previous reasons for picking Schopp, but I doubt it.
If they had to pick 10 more managers over the next X amount of years, they will appoint these unknown foreigners every single time.
They don't seem to care whether there might be other possible better options in this country.
I bet messrs Wilder and Neill and Warnock etc, were never even considered.
