This lot see Managers as a way of making money just as they do the players, they will be hoping Arsebhaji keeps us up so they can get compo from another club for him, it’s all they are concerned about!
Clarke, Hunter, Machin and Andersen all got me excited when they arrived but so did Spackman and Thordarsen! All the excitement has gone with the owners we have, I was more into the Stockport v Bolton cup tie than I have been with any of our games under Schopp!

And his eventual resignation came as no surprise or disappointment.
I don't think you can blame Machin, or any other Manager for selling players Acido, Historically it's what the Club has always done to balance the books or to survive, the difference between those day's and now are , the previous owners did invest some of their own money plus some of the Transfer fees received" in " to use for either buying players or spent on ground improvement , the current (arseoyles ) don't appear to be doing that " or anything crazy" .

No I certainly don't blame the managers for selling our players Roma, as we apparently couldn't afford to turn down that sort of money then.
I do blame him/Mel however for ruining that position we had put ourselves in, by trying to put all of the new signings in at once for season 91-92, and it all fell apart for him after that. I think he even said something similar to that actually.

All joking aside SB, nobody can knock Val's record here results wise, and it gave us an amazing positive season at a time when we all needed it. If he had stayed on this season by the way, I would have been interested to see if he would have done as well as or even flopped this time, because we all know teams were starting to find him out etc.

And Ive asked one of my Swedish footymad scouts (Tommy the Baggies fan lol) to look into our new coach, and give me some possible positive information about him. I might be waiting for a long time.

ps - Heres an update about the bloke, and it doesn't give me much or any confidence what hes saying!!.

Well considering that our best players were sold in 1991- Aggy, Baker and Tiler, it was difficult to replace their quality with cheaper acquisitions. However, Machin did sign Steve Davis and Redders that season who were leaders and the nucleus of the promotion squad. He also brought in Wayne Biggins and brought back David Currie that season who both could entertain on their day. I loved Biggins, one of my all time favourite Barnsley players. His debut was sensational against Luton. I agree with Roma, Machin did a very decent job all things considered.
