Just heard Klitch has had to deactivate his Twitter account due to abuse (if true)

What the fnck is wrong with folk? This really saddens me.

Sign of the times unfortunately. And definitely not for the better.

I was thinking that - I dare not look at where it stands...

All down to us "keyboard warriors" on (not so)social media, at least so MT would have you believe.

On a more serious note, the anonymity she and others have referred to is a real issue. It's one thing to benefit from being able to express opinions bereft of direct consequence and very much another in exploiting that anonymity.

We live in very strange, and not so hopeful, times.

Yes, Klich's challenge was certainly ill-advised but probably only at best a borderline penalty. *

Those abusing him and his family via Twitter are the ones who need de-activating. Muppets.

    Too bad.

    * Does anyone think Struijk's challenge had less intent to injure than Reece James' on his namesake today. Just saying.

Just watched the MOTD footage and Rudigwr should be ashamed and the referee should be banned from any professional games for life.

Not even f00king borderline, stupid challenge but about as much of a penalty as I am the pope.

They never even discussed any of the penalty decisions , to be honest I thought (at the time) our one was a joke until I seen the replay , but regardless of how stupid Klichs challenge was it was never a penalty

Overall I take some heart from today's performance, like everyone else on here and further afield I was nervous about today and the upcoming fixtures and that's before we had all the recent injuries which should have made the situation worse but we stood up today and went at them, and we were seriously unlucky not to get anything, apart from a couple of dodgy decisions we could have won that and surprised us all. The biggest positives to take from the game was the team performance, everyone of them turned up today and gave a serious shift and that includes Firpo and Roberts whom I've been very critical of but both played well , Ayling was outstanding and Forshaw gave his best Batty impersonation yet, with the way the game finished I reckon losing 2-1 would have been better than the way the 3-2 panned out, even though Gelhardt scoring is a massive plus it just put so much of a dampner on the game the way we lost te game with that joke of a penalty, anyway onwards and upwards hopefully, certainly feeling more confident taking on City than a few days ago
