    This is the key point.

We're making it an arms race.

I'm happy to play the fool, I really don't mind. I'm confident enough I'll be proved right eventually, though that may take decades and I won't be around to see it.

Nobody can be 100% sure in the meantime. It will be like Notts in tier 5 the last two seasons, periods of doom and gloom, periods where the vax appears to be working, it will ebb and flow.

Biotech has said it will need three shots for Omicron, that's on top of the three we've already rolled out. So that's 9 months down the line, by which time you'd expect another variant to justify more jabs to maintain the ongoing vax passport.

The only way out of this is to stop testing and switch resources back to treating the sick instead of jabbing healthy people at no risk and ignoring natural immunity.

OK, I give up. So much for reasoning and science eh? Time for someone else to take up the baton...

I'll shut up now too, or divert it to football matters if we have PPS etc.

I guess we haven't really changed anyone's mind and probably never will on an internet football forum to be honest.

    Meanwhile, back at Meadow Lane...

You’ll be proved right, but no one can be 100% sure?? Contradictory?

Read it again - "In the meantime". That is to say, until we have time to assess when its' all over, nobody can be 100% what the turn out will be.

    Swale,you are,of course,perfectly correct.The Twain quote I should have used is,

' Never argue with a fool - onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.'
