Sports personality of the year award

    1988 winner Steve "interesting" Davis.

I could get on with Steve Davis though, he is a prog fan, though probably not of the German Baader-Meinhof inspired generation I tend to favour.

My vote would certainly go to Dame Sarah Storey. An outstanding athlete who has maintained the highest levels in her chosen sports for many years. I agree with Magpie-Mania that this poll no longer relates to “personality.”
I am disappointed to see that Sir Lewis Hamilton has been omitted from the list: presumably due to not being awarded the race last Sunday. His attitude since the result was declared has been that of a true sportsman.

C'mon Sid, it's Raducanu, but I must confess I'm not entirely sure if it's its or it's?

Or maybe my Dame Sarah Storey prediction will be like my 3-3 prediction, way off the mark...

Yes, my Romanian is quite dusty, ncfcog; sorry about getting a letter wrong; did it stop you from knowing to whom I referred? As is pointed out above, it's can only be employed as short for 'it is'. Its does not take an apostrophe in the possessive case. And please can the many on here who confuse loose with lose sort them out?
Shoe-in or shoo-in I believe are equally acceptable these days although I accept that shoo-in came first. Honest, you can't spit without someone telling you it's not spelled / spelt phlegm.

Just been reading that the FIA President has said that Hamilton may be punished for not attending its awards ceremony last night.
