How about Ryan Hardie at Plymouth, another former Rangers youngster. Was scoring regularly earlier in the season when they were top or near the top of league one. Manager touted him for Scotland squad. Problem is contracted till June 23 so fee would be required

Matty Longstaff has been called back to Newcastle from Aberdeen due lack of gametime. Wasnt that impressed in a one off against Aberdeen, but might this be the kind of player who could be nurtured here?

    Tony Watt?
    Or a fit McNulty/Biamou combo??
Sorry what i mean is we need a ready made top level striker and i don't think he is there yet. He looked like he may have the potential to be one though and he is still young hence our type of signing. I have no idea how he has performed for Partick though but when i had a quick look at their messageboard a few days ago there wasn't much said.

I'd have Tony Watt in a heartbeat but if he continues performing he will be off to Hibs, Hearts or Aberdeen no doubt. Mcnulty 100% is not the answer for us surely people see that by now.

The thing with Tony Watt is he is having his best ever season - 10 goals. This is the closest he has come at the age of 28 to having a half decent season.

Whoever signs him next is going to be overpaying on wages for someone who has had a good 4 months out of 10 years

I'm sure a few of those goals are from penalties too.

I keep saying it's needle in a haystack stuff, never have scoring centre forwards been in such short supply. They're like hens' teeth & EVERY club is looking for better than what they've got.
I'm not saying stop searching and that you're wasting your time but don't expect results, that the forums are full of 'sign a 20-goal striker' posts tells you everything.
Call it Rakish Bingham syndrome, the well is dry.
Which is why I'm pinning my hopes on the return of McNulty & the Invisible Man Maxine Biamow's full debut teaming up as a lethal partnership in January.
    Can dream

Courts suggesting a couple of January signings in the press today.

"I’m optimistic that come January when we’ve got a clean bill of health and potentially a couple of signings, that we’ll go on and hit another level again.”
