Boxing Day, 1962 at Molineux. It was the start of the bad winter. The snow was belting down and the game was abandoned at half time. We were 2-0 down. Didn't help us though as we lost the rearranged game 7-0. I remember seeing the snow on the roof behind the goal slowly slipping down, finally being deposited on the fans beneath. Took my mate and I until midnight to get back to Leominster. We were daft enough then to travel to the Hawthorns to watch the next game v. Sheffield Wed. It was the only fixture to survive that day as we imported tons of sand to lay on the pitch. Didn't help us either, lost 3-0.

Think that match just edges the 3-5.
Due to being against the better United side that had Best ,Charlton and law etc,a few weeks later they won the europion cup and we won the Fa Cup. It could been 10-6 that night,Remember law hitting it over the bar from a yard out , similar to Kanu years later.

Yes we beat United in 6-3 in 1968 and then West Ham 3-1 a few days later with Astle getting a hat trick in both. We then beat Everton in the Cup Final the same month. I saw them all. Now those are what I call happy days.

That first game was a special treat for young me and my first visit to the Wolves. I passed out with the cold and was passed over the heads and ended up in the boot room where there was a fire. Treated again to the rearranged game when we lost 0-7 when I may have cried. Not so happy days.

Is this bit of my memory correct? We were losing with 10 mins or so left when Regis and Gary Thompson scored 3 between em in front of the Brummie. And it was raining.
Yes we’re we’re 0-1 down in the last five minutes until Thompson equalised.

Then Gary Thompson scored a towering headers at the back post to put us 2-1 up.

Regis then went through one on one and scuffed a shot under Spink to make it 3-1 just as the snow started to come down.

If I remember correctly the crowd wasn’t that big on that day considering our capacity at that time, probably only 27,000 in a 36,000 stadium.

One of my favourite Albion matches tbh.

If my memory serves me correctly, which of course it might not, didn't we go into an early 2-0 lead. The reason I say this is because we were the last few to get in before they closed the gates. I have a feeling that we missed the first two goals. As I say, could be wrong as it was over 50 odd years ago. Perhaps someone could enlighten me or are your memories a bit like mine?

When we got there the Brummie was locked. We raced round to the Smethwick and only just got in there. The things that stick in my mind are the goals flying in, Jeff Astle and the frightening skill of George Best.

Just provided me with 48 secs of pleasure. Commentary says we scored 3 in the last 5 minutes and 3 crackers they all were. I do have a memory of Cyrille's goal. 1-0 down to your nearest and dearest with 5 to go and you score 3.They don't make em like that any more.

Crowd was only 20,399. We had crowds of 10,00 for some games.
