No agree not before then but I’m worried a 5 year contract of this doesn’t fill me with hope.
It’s a rigid 442 regardless if it works or not if we’re getting overrun centrally we still persist till it’s too late to alter the game with ageing players.

Exactly my thoughts Army.Henessey to stop in goal for me.It is pretty dire when the only player in the squad to put the ball in the net is Lennon.I thought he was our best outfield player tonight.Says it all really. The slapstick attempt at a shot by Pieters at the end sums us up.

I watch it CIB and our midfield never commit players or ever go beyond the middle third of the field ( ie into the oppositions third ) , now I don’t know if it’s Dyche tactics or they’re frightened they can’t get back if we lose possession but it’s so obvious to me the gap to wood and whoever plays with him is too large for him to ever get decent service to score the goals we need to survive. ( plus they’re lightweight and are easily pushed aside ).
Cornet different level understands the game and makes things happen himself but he won’t be staying so long anyway.

Dyche tactics are old school and it’s fine if you’re scoring goals with younger fitter athletic footballers but we’re not we’re regressing with old slow pros.

too fixed for too long - Army....whether that's knobbled them or they just dont have confidence in movement, the speed or the reactions, perhaps they know they'll go wrong so play it the only way they can, the restrictive....Dyche Zedung style.

Effing robbed, Vydra, Tarko twice and Pieters all should have scored in the last ten minutes, if only we'd have taken 3 out of those four chances, we'd have won, take 2 of them, we get a point. Points thrown away.

Keep playing like that and we could stay up, but I still reckon in 2/3 years time we're more likely to be in D1 that the PL. That Yank has a plan for BFC, I don't know what it is exactly, but it doesn't involve PL football.

Maybe it has been too long Norder.

I just watch us against teams and we are so lethargic in our movement and transfer up the field.
If you watch other teams that come to us , they don’t stand still to receive the ball they are always available and open and importantly moving to receive it.

I’m a fan of Mcneil he’s a gifted lad but he also never lets the ball beat the man ie sets of running into a wide channel without the ball at his feet to receive it and deliver for wood without having to drop his shoulder twice to make half a yard.

The more I think about it - it’s Dyche system even at schoolboy level we looked for wingers in channels , never once was I told to slow it down and let the opposition get back
Into shape ( as we do every game ).

I do sympathise with the likes of Mcneil tbh several times yesterday he got his head up looking forward but in the end chose to come backwards to be safe our midfield is slow , cumbersome and not fit for the level
    Of football.
It’s sad coz they’re honest footballers just not capable anymore.
