But top off the league lost one in 23 is it?

    Nothing to moan about
Not sure about that there were about 4 weak tackles and no marking on Doyle on the edge of the box before that ?

I'm just worried that we're going to "blow" this great opportunity that we've got to win this league or even get automatic promotion.

Phrase of the game: another cracking cross from Ferguson.
    And then repeat.
    And repeat again.

Basically loads of walked across the car park knot to be kettled into the makeshift fence that blocked off New York Way.

Pretty poor given all the rules for covid etc. That fans had lost BOTH routes out of the ground usually available to them. Meant that 9000 fans were forced through the council car park.

Interestingly police / stewards realised their error and opened up the fence but they did that far too late.

We'll be alright, keep the faith. Soon hit form again just in time for top of the table clashes.

That'll do for me MillersTime, ha-ha. We definitely need to step up a gear though.

We know we can, that's some comfort. Top of the league and we can still do much better in terms of performances.

It's never easy being a Millers' fan! Just when we appeared to have broken Bolton's spirit, we let them back into the game within a minute through a really preventable goal. Chieo, Lapado and Victor won't enjoy watching the replay. We then struggled to impose ourselves on a much less able team for the rest of the game - not sure if it's nerves, fitness or confidence, but Bolton posed a threat right to the final whistle - helped in the last ten minutes by our tactics of defending 25 yards from our own goal. Great to see Smith back in the goals and Wood's diagonal crossfield passes were sensational. But please, can we have a relaxing 5-0 win to settle everyone's nerves please?!

Agree previous post about the exit strategy from NYS. It's poorly planned and dangerous. People on mobility scooters and crutches struggling amongst thousands of people being funnelled into a small passageway whilst Bolton fans strolled comfortably by on the other side of the fence. Utter madness and an accident waiting to happen!

I do think that to some extent we have been found out and teams know how to break down our previously excellent midfield link-up play. I hope I'm proved wrong and we return to the searing form we showed earlier on; I'm just worried that we have been forced into more hoof-ball and pointless head tennis by teams taking a higher press approach to us and targeting Wiles and Rathbone to nullify them (rather than the simpler diagnosis that we're just a bit off our game.)

Agree with the comments that we were good in parts today but there's no denying that Bolton's fans were relatively pleased with just a narrow defeat rather than the spanking they expected. (This is the common view on their message boards.) Their keeper had a good game and some of their defending was pretty good. Had they done better with their set pieces and finishing, the result could have been quite different.

Nonetheless we are slightly ahead of our two points per game target. However Wigan lead us and Sunderland on that statistic.

While Smudge took his two goals well and REG had a very good day, Ferguson was my man of the match. He is such a neat player who clips balls over from seemingly impossible angles.
