    Who’s got or had covid?

Since this whole thing started, i’ve been quite lucky but that’s been mainly down to working from home and drastically cutting down socialising. Had my Pfizer booster in the 21st. Then boom since Friday i’ve got the mild symptoms of what I believe is Omicron. Had an LFT on Saturday and it was negative. Yesterday had PCR and late in evening notified i’m positive. Although mild, it all seemed to have escalated since i shoved that swab up my nostril. Hope they weren’t infected/contaminated already. Anyway, who’s had it and how long this last for?

I know loads of friends and every day more who have had it, and some who have died, but have successfully avoided it so far, my wife and myself both have asthma so as it affects the lungs its something I really want to avoid. I know what its like to almost die from not being able to breathe, so I don't need any assistance from Covid. Hope you are feeling better soon Regis.

I had it even pre the PCR tests, so didn’t get a positive just isolated and was absolutely unable to get out of bed and just so fatigued with a cough that lasted 6-8 weeks (although I’m prone to having a cough for a long time with a cold/flu)

Have to say took ages (3-4 months) for me to feel myself again, and I still find it hard to breathe at times if exerting myself

I don’t know if it’s just age or what but my memory / thinking seems far more cloudy than before too, I seem to forget stuff I have noticed I need to take more detailed notes and re go through things when I never used to and had a pretty good memory. Also have no recollection of things that weren’t that long ago

A number of friends and family members have had it, effects ranged from a couple of days in bed feeling rotten to no ill effects at all. So far, I have been plague free but wouldn’t be surprised if I catch it at some time. I’ve had the two jabs and the booster and have no intention of shutting myself away from the activities that I like to do.

Pretty well the whole extended family are down with it, thankfully all fairly mild symptoms!

I'm told that internet p or n cums in handy for this. By my reading of the situation you're very much aware of that though 😊.

My cousin has it and been in hospital for about three weeks despite having all the jabs, she is still poorly. My son had it last summer and it was mild, a few people from the local have had it mild, lots of footballers have it and it's mild.
The lady who had our cat first caught it and died in a fortnight aged sixty.
It seems like it attacks certain people seriously while most cases are mild, pretty much like flu and other diseases.
I said two years ago that there is no cure for a virus, they run their course and downgrade. Just the luck of the draw if you get it and how seriously it effects you.

I got it very early in 2020 when we were preparing for the onslaught. Lasted about 4 weeks. Loss of smell, taste, fatigue etc. No testing at that time and I was on holidays so no sick leave taken.
Got it again in December 2020 but only for a few days as my antibodies kicked in....Got it about three months ago with chest infection and blocked sinus and bad throath etc...

Have never been swabbed during this whole pandemic. Nothing goes up my nose...😇
Suffer from nose bleeds from an issue.
And I just can't get excited about the anal probing thing the Chinese were doing on the Japanese a while back...even if it is more accurate.
My ass is for exit only not entry...🤣🤣🤣

Cheers Boingy, hopefully these symptoms stay mild and they don’t get any worse. Got a friend who suffers with asthma too so can totally understand where you are coming from.
