Clearly the younger you are the better you are at surviving (as in most cases) Your immune response will be more efficient....

A few people we have in at the moment are off the ventilator after only a few days and then discharged back to the wards..even though they have had both shots and in some cases (not many cause our third shot booster only really got going recently)
Unvaccinated are on the vent longer and recovery is going to be slow.....but mostly these case loads are of the Delta variety...

Omicron data is still been gathered but evidence thus far seems to indicate less chance of a needed visit to the ICU...
But I stress...still early. Also so many variables play into this.
The numbers can be a bit screwed....example...patient A comes in with severe breathing issues,,,swabbed and is covid positive....after a few weeks we move him to the main ward because his lab results are clear....he stays for another three weeks and then dies.
He is not counted as a death from covid.
The numbers can be really dodgy - had I been hit by a ten ton truck after I tested positive (followed by a walk in the park C-19), I’d been in the Corona death toll.

Good to see you back btw DB! 😊

Not necessarily correct...or so it would appear from the early evidence from data with Omicron.....
Omicron has the potential to reinfect someone who only recently had Delta variant....but if you are vaccinated it may remain mild.
Actually the best scenario is to be naturally infected then get vaccinated...it seems to be to your immune systems benefit in the longer term....

Hi Thomas...yes correct...you would have died from SARS-Cov2 and not from the truck. Stockholm would have gone into lockdown and it would be your fault for been out walking and not the truck driver who happened to be ten times over the drink limit...

Sorry Dubs to be clear - most countries are really strict on entry now and it’s almost impossible if non vaccinated to enter. That said if non vaccinated with having Covid you are allowed entry within a ninety day window from positive confirmation as they have said it’s highly unlikely you could get reinfected within the 90 days. This is a better benefit than those who are triple vaccinated who have still to obtain a PCR at great expense.

I know two unvaccinated people who have travelled on a Covid certificate. Another young person who does not want to be jabbed was actually pleased at getting Covid because she has a 90 day window now to travel and she’s fit and healthy and had zero symptoms - so a big benefit to her!

That’s my point. Not always beneficial to be triple jabbed like myself unless like me you are not getting any younger and have an illness!

While I understand the point you are making baggiel about the 90 day rule...a lot of countries have mitigated that by stating that unvaccinated persons have to isolate on entering a country....but these are changing all the time...
