    Okay to Fulham

Hope this is complete b ollox as they will run away with the league!

Dike can’t do it alone and we need a great engine like Okay again. Can El Capitano not just do one!

Don’t we ever learn? Even the Barnsley lads have said Dike won’t do it on his own! El Capitano can’t even pass so young Dike does need some service!

I’ve not kept up to date with this season for many reasons but with the transfers, it’s great we have a new striker in so early in the window. However, I really hope we get another striker in too. As we all know too well, relying on one isn’t a good move.. we’ll only be back to square one should something go wrong. Hopefully the board have learnt this from from previous seasons. I’d get HRK back if it meant guaranteeing having as a back up.

Agree Regis! Knowing our luck he will get injured and Ken the donkey will be back.

Just really need back up and a creative midfielder. I will be seething if Okay goes to a rival

It is great that the Albion bought early but if that is it....then it won't really get us through to a play off place. Not with the suspension mounting due to bad discipline and no doubt injuries coming in these winter months.......the panel is not great...incidentally I see Southampton wee sold to a Serbian today. The Chinese owner only bought about three years a go...
That is suspicious.....there is a massive crack down taking place in China now by the ruling CP.
Saints bought for was it £70m...
    Interesting this.....from BBC...Analysis

When Gao came along in 2017, it was at a time when the Chinese government had decided it was good for some of their businesses to invest in overseas sport.

But three weeks after he bought the club, the Chinese government pulled the rug on their strategy of backing overseas investment in sport.

So it is fair to say Saints have been limping along and basically making ends meet as there hasn't been too much investment from Gao, with his hands tied almost immediately after he bought the club.
So perhaps Dike will have to do it on his own...

Good post Dubs. Saints is a better proposition than West Brom - Premier - better location - better stadium and more supporters! Bet Lai
had a bad taste in his mouth when he saw what they were bought for.

200 million - ha ha. With our squad he would be lucky to get fifty million plus fifty pounds for Zohore - Snodgrass - Ajayi and Livermore!

I can't edit my above post...but it appears they were bought for £100m not £70m.....
My gut instinct is that Lai is lining up a buyer for the club...proviso may be that the deal is confirmed...IF...they get promoted...
He may very well get motivated by that and be given a blind eye by CP officials to "spend" in order to sell out....

But even if we get promoted as a businessman! Would I want to pay more for West Brom than Southampton - no! Would I feel the assets of Southampton ie players are worth a lot more than West Brom - you bet! Will the Southampton losses to pick up be much greater than West Brom - who knows but they appear a well run club but can’t say that about West Brom on the surface!

To protect my asset - who would be more likely to remain in the Premier Southampton or a newly promoted West Brom with that squad? Well a moron could answer that question!

I can feel the sweat dripping from the little runts face! Even if promoted can’t see Lai getting more than 100 or 130 tops back for his investment so he’s facing a huge loss on paper! All his own doing and Dike alone won’t save us!

It wouldn’t surprise me if Okay went to Fulham; if he wants Premier League football, which looks to be the better option, us or Fulham? Easy question to answer, really, Fulham are top of the league, have the best goalscorer in the EFL and look nailed on for promotion. WBA, on the other hand, look to be heading for the play-offs at best. Fulham would almost certainly offer him more money than us. He must also be aware of the situation regarding our esteemed owner. So, if you were in Okay’s boots, which club would you choose?

It could, of course, all be a load of bulls**t and he doesn’t even come to England at all. The biggest surprise of all, maybe, is that he signs for West Bromwich Albion!
