I typed that as a joke but reading it back I would do well speaking at an anti vax conference lol
I'm just hoping with this chip that Bill Gates has put in me with all these vaccinations that I'll be able to get a good internet signal at half time in Tannadice

    1) NHS pressure - yes, slightly tough but this is due mainly to vacancies/sick leave/isolation and nothing to do with volume of patients. We have lots of empty beds and are coping
    2) Increasing Covid inpatients - yes, more people are in hospital who have COVID but unlike before they are predominantly not coming into hospital because of their COVID. It is coincidental to their other reasons of being in. Almost exclusively unvaccinated who are getting "sick with COVID".
    3) Vaccination - lots of noise about this. It is though the game changer that we had hoped. This current Omicron spike is essentially just proving that. This wave may actually help in the long run by proving our ability as a population and heath service to cope with these stressors/waves.

I had a real blip over Christmas time. Got pretty low with the prospect of another January like we had at work in 2021 (which was truly horrendous). Couldn't see a way out of the COVID nightmare and took the football fan ban really hard. Now though, back in the midst of dealing with COVID it is actually making me much more optimistic seeing what I am seeing.
As others have said, the politics and national decisions around this are very difficult but genuine optimism has returned to my perspective and I can see an end to all of this now. Can't wait for a successful transfer window to top it all off!
Whilst we're at it, here's to tangerine ribbons on the trophy in Hampden in May! Happy New Year one and all
Encouraging positive post from somebody ITK Dreams.
Thanks for sharing & a happy & healthy & tangerine new year 2022 to you too.

Phuck. I'm fully vaccinated at the moment and have regularly been to Camperdown, Dryburgh, and the Kingsway Retail Park (5G area in Dundee) but I'm still alive. Must be something wrong with my vaccinations? 🙂

Highly likely and most people are the same. The vaccination isn't about giving those who take it a better lifestyle though, it's about giving you a lesser chance of serious illness should you contract the virus.
