I would much rather we use a 'free hit' game to further develop an understanding between Smudge and either of Grigg or JJ or even experiment with Sadlier in the No. 10 role. Why waste any more time on Freddie? I have nothing against him whatsoever, he wants to go then fine, it isn't personal or vindictive. Good luck to the guy. I just don't see what more he can do in a couple of games to showcase his talents. He obviously has had word through his agent of interest from 1 or more sides. They will be sniffing in the background regardless of him scoring a hattrick tomorrow or being on the bench. Play people who want to be here.

If you’re comparing to any other employee, it could be like an accountant telling his boss that he is going to leave as soon as he can. His boss may not be happy for him to have access to the companies books for much longer!!

Why?

An employee with access to sensitive data such as details of pricing strategies or customer details might well be put on garden leave while they serve their notice, but what does Freddie know that puts him in that category?

It's not in his interests to do anything other than play to the best of his ability and be a model team member.

Yes he doesn't want to be here that's his prerogative, he's took a stance and the club have to deal with it.
I feel sure PW and TS are capable of sorting it to the satisfaction of both parties concerned.

Why though? I'd rather we played people who are going to feature in the second half of the season and want to be here.
