Stokes just gone after a good fightback and now Bairstow just having treatment for a thumb injury, he is 61 not out and we are165 for 5 after being 35 for 4.

Butler gone for another duck is the collapse on? All rests on Bairstow to try and avoid the follow on.

Yeah been working for a few hours but just logged back on. Great fight back but of course should never be in this position. Only a few to go to avoid the follow on. And not sure it would be enforced now anyway even if we don't make it. Which of course is in the balance!

At least avoided the follow on and hope Bairstow gets his century.

Well done Johnny Bairstow, a bit of pride restored

Obviously we have been humiliated by the Aussies in this series but great credit to both Stokes and Bairstow today for playing through the pain barrier and putting their bodies on the line. It’s all we can ask of them as England cricket supporters. Thumbs up also to Mark Wood who, at least with the ball, is able to give a bit back to the Australians. Liked his batting effort today as well. At one point he came down the wicket to one of their quicks (Cummins?) and got nowhere near the ball. Whilst everyone else seemed to find his attempt amusing, Wood looked seriously miffed that he had not spanked the ball out the ground!

Buttler a strengths are playing brutal shots. Wood showed Buttler that you can get after Australia. As did Bairstow and Stokes.
Buttler needs to bat like he does and not pretend he is something he isn’t. He can’t defend for toffee and keep the scoreboard ticking so might as well attack.

England need 358 runs to win, and I need six numbers to win the lottery. I reckon I've got a better chance.

Still, if we're really lucky, Hameed might break into double figures! Currently on 8, so he's close...

I'd say it's about equal. I just can't see us having the guts to bat out a full day, so I can only see two possible results. If the rain comes we might get a draw, if it doesn't we go 4-0 down.

A few have the potential to bat long but when 3-4 wickets fall so cheaply everytime, it’s make it nigh on impossible. As I speak...window seat for Haseem; way out of his depth.
