I certainly would take him back. I'm reading:

"A return to Dundee United could be an option and is likely to be Shankland’s only option given he has already played for them this season.

That means he’s already played for two clubs in one campaign and can’t play for another until the summer."

    is that right??

I was replying to the resident Funster where he was (imo) implying he wouldn't give us McMullan back to 'sort the supply'.

I could genuinely see both Clark and McMullan both moving to the states next season. They have a lovely wee bromance together!

The more I think about this...the more a sure cert it seems! If he ain't playing for his team...then he only has 2 options...stay and fight for a start or get some game time at United. If we can afford this..then it is a no brainer! He is fit, can start straight away and knows most of this team! I think we should move quickly to make this happen!

I heard a wee while ago we already had made a move. Likeliest money maker for them is shop window in scotland. Hopefully we are sorting first dibs in summer but i doubt we can afford that.

Beerschot will want to recoup as much money as they can for him. They're never getting the £1M back that they reportedly paid for him from anyone. They're probably still due us a sizeable chunk of that given he's only one year into a three year contract, and most likely the payment plan, between the clubs. Question is would we be willing to write off the rest, or part of, the transfer fee to bring him back?
