I think it's gonna happen. We'll sit tight, say nothing, then he'll be announced out of the blue on loan till the end of the season. We're in the market for this kind of deal, it's probably the easiest to make and the one that makes most sense as he can fit in straight away.

Question is would we be willing to write off the rest, or part of, the transfer fee to bring him back?
Whatever the amount they have paid for him they prob only want a portion back to get wages off. Sell on fee deducted it may be possible for us. However, hearts may be able to match or better his salary now, not sure we will - who knows. I reckon we can get him in jan and not even be paying his whole salary. Does well and hearts throw money at him then at least we get some too or he decides he is shedded oot his nut and stays. All 3 involved cant lose in this scenario and they want shot of him end of season as they are going down. Unless their is interest over there of course which would likely see him stay but unlikely?

Given the system that TC seems to want to use up front I would take him back in a second. His workrate, effectiveness etc are far higher than Clarks.

Even though we decry the midfield (and I have) Clark has been given bundles of opportunity and chances in matches and been totally ineffectual.

I couldn't disagree more with your last paragraph. Now I know you have a real dislike for Clark, but to say he's had 'bundles of chances in matches' is just not true. We create nothing.

I think that is the major issue. If our strikers had been missing clear cut chances every game then that would be one thing, but that is not the case. Before we bring in 100 strikers to score goals we maybe should look at 1 or 2 midfields/wide players who can create chances.

Absolutely. I've said enough on the matter over the last few days. You'd like to think Tam and the recruitment team are onto this, as it doesn't take ten laptops and all the analysis in the world to work out.
